Don't suppose you found a part number for that small ambi bolt catch screw? I went to two parts supply stores and the hardware store today with no luck.
 
On my gen 2 the set screw for the bolt catch was about the same length 12.6ish mm and I used a 1.27 hex key to turn it.

I have my upper put together and my Geissele charge handle didn't fit. Needed the ears filed down just like the raptor on my previous. The rest of the stuff fit and found the threading for the barrel nut seemed more smooth this time. My barrel and bcg passed my go/no go gauges.

Hoping to put the lower together tomorrow and have everything complete except for a muzzle brake and trigger guard... Forgot those pieces but have some extras I think. Once my build is done I'll post all the pieces used.
 
BCL is sending me the screws today and we’ll ship them out tomorrow. The rest of the sets going out this week will have the screw with it.

What's the exaxt spec for those of us that don't want to wait? The measurement I took didn't add up with what I could find online for metric set screw specs.
 
I attempted to install an A2 buffer tube today. It seems the tube does not thread in far enough to cover the buffer retaining pin.

For comparison, same buffer tube on an AR15 covers about 1/4 of the length of the pin:

Has anyone else tried installing a rifle buffer tube (A2 receiver extension) on their BCL? Do I just have to trim some material off the rim of the buffer tube?
 
I think it's your buffer tube. I have tried a few different ones and they all thread in enough to retain the pin although I'm using a Jp captured buffer

The shoulder to the rim of the buffer tube measures 0.49 inches. Measuring the hole edge from the back of the lower of an AR15 gives 0.44 inches, as measured to the face of the buffer retaining pin. The difference leaves 0.05 inches, about 20% of the hole diameter (~0.25 inches). That seems like it would be about right.

The edge of the hole on the BCL receiver starts 0.48 inches from the back of the receiver, giving only about 0.01 inches of overlap. Seems like the hole may have been drilled in the wrong spot.

Sounds like its either trim the buffer tube shoulder, get a JP buffer, or send it back.

You say you use the JP buffer. Is it noticeably heavier than a standard buffer? The JP is around 7.2 oz vs the standard rifle buffer at 5.4 oz? Is it worth the extra weight and cost? I guess the answer is probably yes if you use it.

I found the 308 ar lower parts kit rear takedown pin doesn't fit which was not a big deal since I have a lower parts kit for my slr and don't need the take down pins for it but figure people should know when they buy lpks.

I'm curious as to what the hole under the rear takedown pin is for? My build is pretty much complete just waiting for the bolt catch set screw. Anyone know where one might be able to find one locally in Edmonton?

I'll post some pics and a list of parts tomorrow
