I've had a ton of fun with my Non-Restricted Brs 99's and was looking at branching out to other Non-Restricted Pistol Caliber carbines.

Is a 7.62x25mm Conversion possible?

Is there any Non-Restricted Vz61 Scorpion in Canada?

Possibility of converting a Vz61 Scorpion to Non Restricted with an 18.6 inch barrel?

You sure about this?

Only 32ACP pistols are prohibited in Canada, VZ61's are not classified as pistols. I own a restricted one.

That was not the point of the post. Sorry if not clear.

I own one too.

The point is that it is a pistol as it is a machine pistol however under our intelligent intuitive system, its a rifle.

Also therefore limited to 5 not 10 rounds which is so so extremely lame...............

Were some of these Vz61 Scorpions ever chambered in the Soviet 7.62x25mm round????

A conversion to 7.62x25mm would be a must have if possible.

As noted, not possible - the Scorpion is a straight blow back firearm, 7.62x25 is really quite a high pressure cartridge. The gun would slam itself to pieces, even if the mag well was changed to accept the OAL of the cartridge. Either that, or you'd need a bolt/spring combo that would make it exceedingly difficult to use.

Are any other calibers feasible?

.380? 9mm? .22 LR?
