Yes they send tracking when orders are sent out. Sometimes it comes a few days after it ships.

crappy quality control may be the norm with norinco/polytech, but a bent rifle is total not acceptable. I can handle a m305 barrel being over or under indexed, but bent never. So my finger are crossed.
 
There were almost no problems with bending. The problem was the trunion being misaligned to the action. The barrel and rear sights are connected so this has no impact on your POI.

Is it ideal? Absolutely not. Is it good enough for the Chinese Army? Seems to be. I believe the Chinese Army 81's also can have this issue. It presents no problem unless you want to mount optics on the receiver.
 
No shipping notice but I did receive all my remaining mags today. No replacement folder inserts.

Out of my 4 rifles (by my measuring) two are pretty much centred, one is a nudge off and the last "may" need up to 1/8 inch to one side to centre the barrel with the receiver.
 
I clamped a 4' level to the receiver sides using 2" spacers, I took measurements from both sides and in two places, the bare barrel at the farthest point measurable and the end of the grenade launcher attachment.
 
for $1000 a bent rifle is under no circumstances acceptable, for an extra $300 one can buy a Cz858, although hideous a better rifle in every aspect. If mine shows up bent I will be pissed.

Did you request the proper cheek pieces when the second shipment arrived?

I only ask because that's what I did and they did include them with my mags.

I'm sure they'll get you sorted.
 
Could some one save me from reading through 50 pages on this thread: what is the issue with the cheek piece on the folders everyone is talking about?
