What can your 6.5 creedmore do that my .260 can't?

Actually, they do; when you load over 140 or heaver gr. bullets.

so with something like a 156gr Norma Vulkan??

Code:
Cartridge : .260 Rem
Bullet : .264, 156, Norma VULKAN 66535
Useable Case Capaci: 47.895 grain H2O = 3.110 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.800 inch = 71.12 mm
Barrel Length : 22.0 inch = 558.8 mm

Would you quit putting words in my mouth. I know you find this painful, I know you will never win this argument, and I know you have zip for experience with either the brass or the cartridge. I did not say that Alpha brass was better, ever, but from what I can see so far it certainly does not take any back seat to Lapua. Your experience may say otherwise, but you have none.

Now, again, there is more selection of brass for the Creedmoor and for the flash in the pan you guys say it is that’s akin to a miracle.

You are the type of person that gets a taste of experience and becomes a self-proclaimed internet expert. A person who discounts others experiences based on what you read on the internet. And three months (?) owning a certain cartridge. One, that I might add, has not even been hunting. Let alone killed.

No one is putting words in your mouth. Certainly not me. Direct your anger somewhere else.

As for what the creedmoor does that the 260 rem doesn't. It absolutely has nothing to do with a better set of reloading components.

I have no experience with 6.5 creedmoor but this thread isn't only about you. Or the creedmoor. Get over yourself.

I’m far from an expert, but I do know:

The CM affords more magazine space for high bc bullets
Has better selection of components
Has a better selection of rifles
Better selection of factory ammo
A case design that has some proven merit when it comes to case life or case prep

Your name calling and personal character attacks cannot change that. I’m sorry if that upsets you. I’m sorry I didn’t have to kill anything to know that. But it doesn’t change the fact that the 260 offers nothing appreciably better. That it plays second fiddle to this marketing fluke. You don’t have to sell your 260. You can still hunt with it. It will be okay.

Elk, 270, 560 yds. It does work. Jack would be proud. :)

Nice picture Chuck, 270win is my main hunting rifle at the moment. I got a good deal on a kimber MA. I originally wanted a 280AI but couldn't find one at the time. I'm quite fond of the 270 now.:)

I’ve often said that unless you know, you could never guess by an animals reaction to being hit what cartridge the hunter was shooting. I think most of it is in someone’s head.

True... until you can't find the animal to confirm what was only in your head...

Yep, after shooting a bit of thin skinned gamed in the lungs its pretty easy to become complacent. Or over confident. Not sure what the right word is.
