Ordered March 28th in black. Nothing yet.
As for Stag-10, seems better in stock form,
But trigger is fairly heavy.
Also, stag-10 is .4 lbs lighter but comes with lightweight furniture. BCL can be made into an 8 lbs gun with a handguard swap. Stag is also roughly 300$ more.
I am supporting BCL for paving the way to non restricted AR 10s. Legal and admin costs alone are worth us backing them up. Overall, in stock form, stag is the better quality firearm assuming they ramped up QC, and suppliers before BCL. But if stag will be discovering and tuning the platform, they will be exactly where BCL started.

If you're into tuning then get the stag receiver set. Comes with a LPK and Stag and sells for LESS than what BCL was charging when they were still selling stripped receivers. Stag is made from higher quality aluminum and the receivers are mil spec anodized. BCL 102 are just painted. There are not many reasons to get a BCL 102 Now.

Only a fool would buy a BCL at this point. They #### the bed completely with their pre-sale, which worked out for me since I ended up cancelling. They can change their name but they can't seem to change anything else.
This is a joke right? Do you honestly believe Stag will be “discovering and tuning the platform” similar to Black Creek Labs?
Do you have your BCL stuff? If not, I’ll gladly sell you a brand new receiver set at a heavily discounted price....
Stags cool and all, I get the appeal. But with all the trade issues we are having right now I choose to buy Canadian. Doesn’t mean I’ll never buy a stag, but for now my 102 works great out of the box and was made in Canada. I don’t have to have the “best” you can get, this is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. View attachment 189240
"Trade issues"? - You mean we crapped on the wrong guy's shoes and are about to get fed our backsides. Buy the Stag, they've been making AR's for decades, zero learning curve. BCL/NEA has been making AR's for years, and they're still (not) learning.
Last month I was amazed by all the Canadian rifle makers stepping up and offering amazing rifles that were exactly what I wanted. Just because an American company finally stepped up and decided to take advantage of our lucrative market doesn’t mean I will drop my Canadian riflemakers “cuz the Americans are better at it”. You want the stag buy it, you won’t find problems from me, but my BCL does what it’s supposed to do and was made in Canada. My favorite part of my modern Hunter was the maple leaf on the side as well. But that’s just me, you do you. And for the record I didnt crap on anyone’s shoes, if anything we are being “crapped on” but no one will ever feed us our backsides. Except maybe ourselves.

Nope, haven't received mine yet.

As for discovering and tuning the platform, the 10s barrels are backorder. They will likely be looking at new model or manufacturer. I haven't heard of any Canadian reviews on the rifle yet. If all they do is put a pin in the mag, and call it a day, you are right, the engineering is sound. It does look like shortages in parts in the USA, as well our Canadian laws restricting rifles by platform, I wouldn't be surprised if more needs to be changed for the Canadian market. (in order for it to keep the unrestricted designation, it might need changes to NOT be called an AR platform). That is only speculation btw, the fact that it's DPMS based might be suffice.
In either case, I am looking for a lightweight, adaptable semi auto in 308 that can shoot moa. Under 9lbs with Nikon prostaff.
BCL gets me pretty close to that. Handguard swap, maybe a new trigger once I evaluate bcls new trigger.
I hear stock may need to be swapped if I don't want a rattle gun.
In either case, BCL paved the road to cheaper AR type non restricted firearms, for that alone, I feel good supporting them.
At this point, it's less of a stag vs BCL for me, and more of a "will I enjoy hunting with an AR vs my bolt gun.

The FRT has already been issued. You can buy a 6.5CM NR or a 308 restricted. 308NR only needs a longer barrel. It doesn't "need more change".
It was only a matter of time before it happened, would hope they were planning on this
