SITREP please...
OK so mine is apparently not going back to Wolverine as they aren't going to honour any kind of warranty because apparently there wasn't one.....
I would have to pay for it out of pocket.
I guess I should have asked - caveat emptor.

You dont want the super strong firing pin spring, Its one of the issues on these. You want a real one.
and all these parts are cheaper on Gunbroker / Ebay just takes some time to find them.
BRP Corp ships and are great guys as well.
How is yours running DILLIGAF? have you had a chance to take it out since you had issues?
Havent had time to take her back out yet.
I converted one of mine to 308 and it has run perfectly. I used one of the brp kits that IRG brought in early last year
Can I ask what the kit cost you?
As an MG34 newbie, reading this thread is very informative. I see I have much more to learn.
I do have a couple of questions.
Presently I'm shooting surplus 8mm ammo, and I'm not fond of that ammo.
It appears that it beats the gun up? Unfortunately I have another 480 rounds. Might be chancing it shooting that.
I looks like I have 2 options. Reload for this caliber (pull the surplus apart and use the bullets for reloading?), or do a 308 conversion.
Other questions:
Can anyone recommend a more detailed lubrication guide?
Spare parts I should acquire?
It was around $1100 Canadian dollars. If I remember correctly the kit cost $750 US plus all the exchange crap
Not cheap by any means that's for sure but 308 ammo is easier to source then 8mm
Thanks for the info, keep it coming.I would suggest reloading the 8mm. You can buy brass and bullets from tradeex or mystic precision
The gun does beat up the brass pretty good. I am on my 5th reload on some brass and it's still good to use
For spare parts I would get a spare sear ring and sear assembly, the piece in the reciever ( not sure what it's called?) that pushes up on the sear to release it, spare bolt parts like rollers, extractors, cartridge stripper, ejectors
Having a spare bolt would be ideal
Wolverine sells a parts lit that has all the semi specific parts in it
