What is the one reloading gadget you've bought and now couldn't live life without?

Arredondo Micrometer Powder Drop slide for Dillon 550. Finally gave me consistent drop for .32S&W Long so I could trust the press and not hand measure every single charge. Awesome!

And another life saver has been my Frankford Arsenal micrometer hand priming tool. Such a great investment and seems to be miles ahead of my RCBS hand priming tool I've been using for years.

I think mine was when I first discovered universal decapping dies. I like clean brass and I'm not huge on sticky dirty brass into fairly expensive dies. Once I learned I could get my primers out and do a good cleaning before sizing I was like wow! This makes life way easier!

When reloading, you are your only quality control. Quality control and final inspections usually involves a lot of measuring. Therefore I have found that the best reloading tools have always been measuring. Scales, micrometers, run out gages, precision mics, etc.

Great press, powder measure, dies etc are nice and all, when you get a new measuring tool and discover a whole new dimesnion of inconsistency that you can now control for, thats where I say wow.

Now I want one of those...and a wft trimmer for 223, there is really no end to this reloading rabbit hole right?
 
I'll be a bit different and say my Lee powder scoops, both yellow (new) and red (old). I shoot a lot of handgun rounds (38 sp, 357 Mag, 45 ACP, 45 Colt) and really like Trailboss (also Universal & Titegroup). Having the various scoops lets me fairly quickly measure out my powder. Yes, I have a scale, powder trickler, etc, but I use my Lee scoops to make life easier (and reloading faster). I won't admit how much I paid for the red set on Ebay, but having both sets makes reloading pistol and rifle much faster (note I am not shooting precision rounds or anywhere near max loads so +/- .1 or .2 grains is not a factor).

To answer boomers question. I have two chargemasters because im anal about powder charges. Doing pistol calibers one chargemaster is slow.

While i enjoy the process, sometimes the slower processes are mind numbing. So the items i like are time savers...my electronic scale, trimmer and case prepcentre, for certain powders a nice powder measure.

Custom dies, comp shellholders, and measurement tools are the fun part. Precision vs repetition i suppose. One i enjoy, the other not so much.

Correcting myself, not RCBS. Redding is the one I have, and it has a very solid heavy base.
