I'm wondering if Heckler & Koch ever released these to us peasants, and how much they'd cost. Just out of curiousity, of course, I'd like one, but I ain't willing to sell my liver and kidneys for a mere gun!

It looks pretty interesting, alright. I wonder if I could dress one up as an FN FAL?

POF originally was selling G3 and MP5 parts which were made by an H&K licencee in Pakistan, which is where the original name POF came from. It was changed a few years ago to Patriot.
 
Do the HK and POF systems use a modified bolt carrier (like the Ares defense kits)?

Anyone heard good thing about the POF stuff. Dangertree was talking about importing the POF stuff several months ago...
 
The Bushmaster piston upper offered by Questar is a POF marketed by Bushmaster. The HK is virtually unobtainable. The few uppers that made it into civilian hands in the US are selling for an average of $5500 USD. That's just for the upper alone.

The biggest issue I assume is supply and demand. What's worth importing. They're not cheap rifles/systems for the U.S market. Factor in exchange+importation fees, paperwork and you're in a gamble to see what the Canadian market wants. Keep in mind under 16" are unimportable.
 
because HK doesnt give a #### about you..they only want hassle free LE or Goverment contracts.

As for pistons..maybe LMT will come out with one. I would prefer LMT to any Bushmaster crap.
 
There are German Federal non-proliferation laws that restrict HK from marketing firearms of a non-sporting use to the general public. This is beyond HK's control, as a market driven firm they would be more than happy to capitalize on the opportunity. Too many African cesspits and their child militias are armed with G3's, G41's, HK33's, seeing this Berlin tightly monitors and regulates any of HK's sales. So don't be hatin' on HK even despite their inflated prices.
