RCMP to be held accountable for Parliamentary Violations

Well said JeffMan. Good to see some logic, respect your profession and the risks you take daily. Every profession has idiots in it, c'est la vie. Some people get too emotional here and lose objectivity. We have to stay focused on the issues and do whatever we can to help our cause.

Tlovell,

I hear you. Enjoying freedom will always involve men willing to fight for it (through legal means.)

I think we’ll be able to keep our guns for our lifetime. I think Trudeau would rather see us go extinct by not allowing us to pass our firearms on to our children. That makes me ill.

As we move towards diversity, of everything but ideas, we become a low trust society. A low trust society is full of people who take advantage, game the system, consume resources, understands criminality as a societal issue, and can’t be trusted with firearms.

When Trudeau, or any politician, takes our guns it’ll be admitting that society can’t be trusted anymore. Then only criminals will have guns and they’ll have plenty.

A high trust society is based on morality, community, and a self respect for ones own dignified behavior; think of the Canada your grandfather knew. Sadly, It’s slipping away.

Yikes. I’m rambling.

Edit to add - I have no issue with diversity. I have issues with diversity at any cost. I have issues with not respecting others ideas and becoming violent to those with different ideas then their own.

JeffMan reading this brings a smile to my face.
The government tries their best to divide divide divide. If we are all fighting each other then we will be too preoccupied to oppose their lunacy.

I will continue to to deal with RCMP and other law enforcement on an individual basis. I still respect the uniform and the authority it represents. Regardless of the individual it contains. Besides, officers are at the end of the day just people. People have bad days. Generally speaking if you're genuinely cordial and pleasant to deal with, the other person tries to go the distance for you.

Though I will say that i have very little faith in the upper echalons.

while I truly hope the RCMP will held accountable...I believe the RCMP Act has them covered( for all the wrong reasons)...

Remember has RCMP ever been held accountable for High River, AB incident? I doubt anything will ever change considering the nature of our extremely corrupt politics and justice system in Canada. I have yet to see any single politician/ officials in Canada ever being charged for violating Canadian laws. The reality is laws don't apply to them because they are above the law. Look how many scandals Wynne had, who broke numerous laws during her ON premiership (illegally deleting emails, election manipulation, falsified debt accounting fraud, taxes fraud, conflict of interests, etc.) and yet she is still free to roam in Canada without being in jail as an example. No one got charged from illegal High River incident either.

Ha! Good luck with that. The RCMP are the Liberals bum boys. They were NEVER held accountable for smashing in hundreds of doors and taking firearms( using the deleted registry ). in High River gun grab.

I don’t like seeing RCMP get in trouble anymore then I like seeing responsible gun owners get in trouble.

As a cop myself I feel for the RCMP decision makers, but also as a cop I realize the most dangerous guns are the ones that criminals have and illegally obtained - people who could care less about any laws.

I’ve dealt with a number of criminals with guns in years past, even one in the last week. They don’t give a crap about our silly firearms laws. Make as many as you like - they won’t care.

I would wager that I deal less with lawful firearms owners then any segment of the population. Most are real good people, ifnot somwhat distrustful of cops, and that’s too bad.

the distrustful situation did not start with the legal gun owner.... sad to say but the government AND the RCMP are complicit in owning that little nugget of truth.

My trust towards rcmp has reached a new low point, ever since the High River Crime and the illegal keeping of LGR records.

Didn't work at Nuremburg.

Correct. And Nuremburg was only the FIRST trial to get the high ranking officers.

Auschwitz trial
Belsen trial
Belzec trial before the 1st Munich District Court in the mid-1960s, of eight SS men of the Belzec extermination camp
Chełmno trials of the Chełmno extermination camp personnel, held in Poland and in Germany. The cases were decided almost twenty years apart
Dachau trials
Frankfurt Auschwitz trials
Majdanek trials, the longest Nazi war crimes trial in history, spanning over 30 years
Mauthausen-Gusen camp trials
Hamburg Ravensbrück trials
Sobibór trial held in Hagen, Germany, in 1965 against the SS men of the Sobibor extermination camp
Treblinka trials in Düsseldorf, Germany

That being said, I have nothing but good things to say about a lot of members. They are stalwart, and true to mantiens le droit. as well as their oath of fealty to Canada.

But the bad ones.. Jesus H Christ.....don't even get me started. Even at 20% (standard in any large organization) and you can see the problem....
