Can you elaborate on what makes them suck balls?I cannot wait to get my hands on a Stag 10, I've built nearly 20 BCL102's so far and I'll just say.........BCL102 sucks major moose balls lol.

Wow no surface finish whatsoever
Wow
So you took an item that was to be cerakoted from manufacturer and stripped its coating off. Found their machining finish requirement was sub par for anodizing, but didn't take the twenty minutes required to glass bead it so it would look good. Then anodized it, and complain its ####.
Inconsistent specs?
Any non superficial complaints?

My BCL arrived this spring and has excellent fit and finish.
BTW There are members here reporting issues with a few of the new STAGs 10 that are arriving into Canada. So, all that glitters is not Made in America.![]()
BTW I have no want or need to bash the Stag Arms AR-10 like some seem to do on the BCL 102. I think both are great options for the budget minded Canadain enthusiast.
These are budget AR-10s and issues are to be expected. I would have zero tolerance for the fit and finish issues noted by Grove above and would insist on a replacement.
Thankfully, fit and finish is not a problem on mine and she always draws a crowd at the gun range.

.how about this:
broken safety
broken bold hold open
broken stock
all right side ambi features broken
barrel gas port oversized bleeding gas
misaligned gas tube
dust cover flew off into the wilderness never to be seen again
Oh Bananarama, hey. hey there. its been a while (The last BCL102 bashing thread likely I'd imagine). Hows the kids?
I've come to the conclusion I shouldn't place too much faith in the opinion of somone on an interwebz forum who claims to have a pile of "guns that need fixing".
I have 2 BCL 102's, one stock 1st gen, and one built from a "3rd gen" receiver set. Fit and finish is much better on the 3rd gen than the 1st, although even that just has a few minor cosmetic issues or design flaws (like the useless QD sling mount on the hand guard) and that's about it. Both function properly.
I've been packing my custom through the bush since the beginning of September and the finish on the receiver has been holding up tolerably well. There are a few barely noticeable scratches and a couple tiny spots along the edges that rub against my pack or clothes that the finish has worn off of. Keep in mind this has been in snow and rain, up and down mountains, through thick brush, along trails and access roads, and through swamps. It gets leaned on stumps and trees or set down in the grass many times throughout the day. The way it is used it will inevitably show wear over time but I built it intending to use it as a hunting gun and it suits that purpose very well. Anyone concerned about the finish holding up poorly has, in my experience, absolutely nothing to worry about. Once the hunting season is over I will post some close up photos of how a "properly" used BCL102 holds up.
