Thinking of getting a wheeled cart to lug my ipsc crap around. What is out there? And any recommendations. I have seen a creedmore range cart and a ced unit, not sure if there is anything better, just can't seem to find any using my limited google fu. Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks

Look for a jogging cart on kijiji and add whatever attachment you need for your style of shooting. Most of the guys I shoot with have done the same and it works really well for IPSC, pistol, shotgun, 3gun and PCC.

Except for CAS..... No self respecting cowboy with a wide brimmed hat, boots and a pair of 45’s strapped on his belt would sashay up to the firing line pushing a baby carriage, would they?.....:nest:

Actually lots of "garage sale" strollers get turned into inexpensive guncarts, usually by people that only have a couple of long guns and a box of shotshells and one green box of rifle/hg shells. If you carry spare guns or double up with other shooters a more extensive/stable build will be better.

If you are adverse to looking down the bores of a bunch of guns (pick me)as is the case with most two-wheeled "plow handle" carts then a four wheeler garden cart works really well with a little work to add a gun rack. They carry a heavier load and are much easier to maneuver over an uneven ground range than a two wheeler.

If you do build a two-wheeler use the largest dia wheels you can find such as off an old 10 speed bike...those little "hand-truck" wheels will get caught up in every rut or gopher hole there is.

Some of this applies more to 3 gun (I just carry a bag if it's only pistol).

I've seen 3 different styles:

Jogging stroller - The 2 in the middle of the above image.

It holds long guns angled down with a rhino grip and deals with rough ground pretty well.

Folding garden cart (like the costco one)- the 2 on the right.

Folds up nicely, inexpensive. Have to build a bracket to hold long guns angled down. Holds a lot of ammo and gear. Ok with rough ground. If your range is very hilly (this is TMSA in Lower Mainland BC), lack of brakes and pulling by handle downhill (vs pushing handles) can be a
challenge.

Also have seen modified golf caddy - easy to move around, doesn't hold a lot of stuff.

I have really been wanting to modify an old shopping cart with bigger tires largely because it would be usefull and get a few laughs. The only thing stopping me is the fact that they are not extremely portable.

I found a mountain buggy jogger on CL and bought some Rhino mounts from CanTire... i use mine mainly for sporting clays here in vancouver, but just getting into ipsc,, so it will get a lot of use there...

For 3 gun, the jogging strollers are great. For IPSC, I highly recommend the DAA Large Backpack and Cart that we we sell. They will hold all your great, break down to fit in a suitcase and you can add an umbrella holder etc. I've been using one for years and it's served me well.

DAA also makes the Medium back pack which can be used as a Carry on bag for travel but the Large Backpack would be better for local use as it holds more stuff :)

I leave the backpack on the cart at all times so it's convenient to pick up the whole thing and pop it in a car or truck.

This is my CAS range cart. Made from beetle killed pine lumber. It has room for 5 long guns (or 4 with the sun shade), a loading stand/powder box for my C&B revolvers (upper), and a cooler for cold beverages/lunch (lower). It also completely breaks down enough to fit in a trunk. This year the bicycle wheels have been replaced with steel spoke wagon wheels and the handle got wrapped with leather. You can even sit on it between stages. It comes as a kit, you assemble and finish yourself. It can carry enough gear/ammo to support 2 shooters for the entire day.

Well I must say...first thought was the "Flintstones"... but on closer look it would suit my needs. And you say you can buy it? From where?
