Hi.

Basically the title. Was searching for any NR options for 7.62x25 ammo for rifles or carbines. I know 7.62x54R chamber inserts exist, but doesn't seem practical at all.

There are lots of firearms in x25. Most of them prohibited in Canada due to multiple shots per trigger pull. no new production carbines or rifles exist either. Well some one will come along and say, not true there is some in the states or Europe. maybe so, but there is none in Canada. Your best bet is buying a new receiver of suitable strength and building a rifle yourself.

I can see the appeal of the idea though, with lots of cheap surplus ammo around. Would be a fun plinker.

Pioneer Arms Corp in Poland made a new reproduction PPS43 in 7.62x25, but it was deemed prohibited due to ease of conversion. Tactical Imports couldn't really get PAC to make changes to accommodate the Canadian Market.

TNW made the semi auto ppsh 41 which has a frt number and is legal to own here, problem is that none were imported here from the US and good luck trying to find one

I too have asked about this before. Always thought a semi carbine in 7.62x25 (or even a mini bolt gun) would be a blast, sadly the only real option is to make something custom.

It's possible that parts kits dried up, I know they were making then from wiselites tooling and building them for another company as well
I talked to Lance from TNW about them over a year ago and he said the tooling got shipped back to the original owners
It's too bad we didn't get them here I really would have loved one
Funny there was a ton of the suomis though, way more ppsh41 guns were produced so you would think there would be more parts kits available

Pardon my ignorance, but what is that? :yingyang:

Their website seems to be having some issues currently and I can't get on it but they are a smaller business that re-barrels/relines/re-chambers and fixes mauser C96s. They import parts and spring kits as well but on the side they offer re-chambering services for a few different platforms to 7.62x25.

I’m sure this idea will get shut down fairly quickly but why can’t someone make a barrel, bolt and magazine or jimmy rig and AR15 somehow?

a company in the US made or still makes AR 7.62x25 uppers, Bazooka Brothers. Not sure if that website is still active, it uses a modified pps-43 magazine to feed 7.62x25.

They were also really expensive, like $750 USD for just the upper and 1 magazine.... include import costs it easily clears 1k+ uppers.

7.62x25 mm upper, wow. Yes that is expensive thanks for sharing that! At the import 1k I don't think the market is here for it. I get the ammo is cheap but to buy a expensive upper to shoot cheap ammo seems odds.

Buy Enfield sporter and have a gunsmith convert it over with a new barrel and bolt head. Fabricate a mag well that accepts tt33 mags and then your good to go.

I remember someone here did it years ago.

DESTROYER action should be long enough, being they were in Largo to begin with.

I hate the idea, but likely there is a Destroyer around with a pooched bore......
