Tikka T3X in 6.5 X 55 SWE - Long or short action?

The Tikkas (T3) all use the same length action. They just have different bolt stops and magazine blocks.
Edit- I should add that the magazine blocks can be removed or modified and the bolt stops switched from a SA to a LA which will allow seating the bullets longer on some cartridges. (Providing your throat is long enough in your rifle)

The magazine blocks are part of the magazine body. They are a PITA to remove! You need to take the floor plate, follower, and spring out, then cut the back spacer out with a Dremel and small file. Then glue in a skinnier aluminum chunk of miniature C Channel. I did a couple conversions from .308 to 6.5x55 on magazines that I got at a yard sale. Now I just buy 10 round mags from Australia.

That's what it says on the website. It says "Tikka T3 Short Action"

I'm not making this up.

It says "short action calibers only" in the description section.... the dropdown is as you posted

since all the T3/T3x actions are long and they use spacers in the mags and bolt stops to make the long action 'short' for some calibres their website makes no sense.

If you are looking at that chassis I would contact KRG and find out what the hell they are talking about.

It means they don't make the chassis to work with long action AICS mags. Pretty simple really, you have a T3 chambered in something like a 308 or similar, it will work. You have aT3 chambered in a 30-06 or similar, it won't work.

That makes sense, but the wording is confusing. It should say "short cartridge only".
