Got my T1x yesterday and shot some groups in the -30 cold this morning. I did not do anything but mount my scope. Not a bad start. Now to do a few mods and see if it can do as well as my CZ 452. Groups were shot at 50 yards.8B55E366-B1D2-4941-A263-A3A7234B9728.jpg

My T1X DIP rail is sitting in my community mailbox right now, so tonight I can get the scope mounted and try mine this weekend.

What ammo were you using?

last time I shot a rimfire when it was that cold I could watch the bullets in the scope. thanks for the post, those are actually superb groups considering the ammo and the temp.

Went out this evening for some more punishment. Top group is Remington game loads, second is AE hp and third is federal bulk. I won’t post the SK magazine groups at these temperature it shot 1/2” wide 4” vertical groups. Same thing out of my CZ. 77416031-0A3B-4577-9645-34CAE6FD9239.jpgA5D51D12-B26D-45C0-B9D4-7B11C8F7621B.jpgD33C64DF-B078-462A-A5F2-4C9E033E6C06.jpg

Hey 6mm, considering the temps, things look promising for your Tikka. Warmer weather and some other Lapua should make it shine.

Very nice 6 mm, nice groups with the SV. That’s what I’m shooting as well.
I’ve got my scope mounted and have been shooting indoors until this cold snap and 45 km winds bugger off. Looks like this weekend it should be a touch warmer.

I'm impressed, plain and simple. Translation~not happy, I may need a new rifle. :)

Great shooting, especially if you're getting that in those conditions...with Federal?? Wow..

Well the tikka let me down. My uncle and I had to call it a tie. Over 15 groups we both averaged just under 1/2” and depending who ran the calipers either one of us could have been called the winner. Don’t worry I will buy a CZ457 as soon as I can.
