Nice ☺☺☺

Used my 1974 vintage Marlin 336 in 35Rem to take a deer this fall. This is how he fell, I laid my rifle on him & took the pic before tagging.

Cheers
Jay

Nice setup,

Most people say the 357 is inadequate for deer, but I’m a believer. What ammo were you using?

158gr Hornady XTP FP reloads. I was very surprised how much damage this bullet did. I shot 2 bucks earlier in the week with a .270, but the .357 did the most damage. I love his gun, and is now my go to gun. I’ve been using .38 lead cast on rabbits too with it.

Well I've been staring at this one in a nearby shop for some time and today she finally made it home. She's a Turnbull 1886 in 45-70 some pics below. Have wanted a Turnbull for a long long time now and even though this is a used one and not built to order I am quite happy with it. Hopefully she shoots straight! If not it's a hell of a piece of wall art for over top the fireplace.

Edit to add some full length pics
