The paint job looks suspiciously like Rhodesian Baby Poop cammo...

That folder stock looks familiar, Galil?

This some African bush gunsmith special?

The guys pulled an enfield off the rez that had a pistol grip and I think they added a forward vertical grip if I can remember correctly. It looked ridiculous.

So, I know the owner of this rifle. The history of it is, it’s from South Africa and the folding stock was built by a company to address have a short readily available rifle for farmers to defend themselves. This was before they let civilians purchase the semi-auto versions of the R4/5. As to the paint job, I do believe it was done by a ex-Rhodesian. The man who owned it was a instructor for gunsite and worked PMC contracts. However, he passed away suddenly at a young age. The rifle has a history and a reason for the conversion, bubba wasn’t involved

RIP B___ns-O-Matic PlayStation.

Is that from the estate of the PPCLI guy?

As an Ex South African, I can confirm R711's story. These were offered as a conversion for the abundant lee enfields of the time. The purpose was as a "Bakkie rifle" ( or truck gun). Something that could literally be thrown behind the seat of a truck. Many farmers went this route befor the LM rifles came onto the market........and yes they were as ugly as sin.
