Port cover pin hole is a wee bit too shallow.
Agreed, I took my pin out and shortened it by .03125in and it fits perfectly now.
I split two bolt catch roll pins trying to drive them using the wheeler bolt catch roll pin tools. I suspect that the hole may be a tad tight...
I’ll just leave this here... lol
hahaha, in this case I cant get enough torque by hand to index the Colt barrel nut properly to get the gas tube in. Other barrel nuts I've done by hand werent traditional style.

First time I've heard this complaint about the MS. I did my 3 lowers that I have so far and the roll pins tapped in as smooth as butter.
On first thought, did you use a bit of oil when you installed the roll pin?
On second thought, are you sure you aren't talking about the ### receiver?![]()
No I would suspect your pins were out of dimension. After seeing what the "other guys" got a ton of flak over we pin gage every hole before the part goes for anodizing and again when it comes back.
We would need to know the grade of material so as to be able to order the correct inserts and tooling, but it still won't be a cheap touch.
I'm sure this has been asked but I couldn't find an answer anywhere....does the varmint upper fit the sporter lower?
Strike Industries strike rail will fit on the Modern sporter. Confirmation by a stand up company in Red Deer.
Do you know if it fits with or without modification??
