Brno 21H enthusiast club

I recently purchased the Brno 21H chambered in the 7x57. I purchased a set of Warne Quick Detachable High rings and placed a Leupold VX2-4x12x40AO on it. I was going to start off with 140 gr. accubonds then changed my mind to 160 gr. accubonds. I conducted load development with the 160's using IMR-4350 and Reloder 22. This rifle has a very long throat, from the case head to the ogive is 2.786". I seated the bullet .064" shorter than the ogive length so that it can fit into the magazine, with room to spare. The COL is 3.304". It will be about 10 days before I can get to the rifle range to test her out. It's a lovely slender stalking rifle.

Makes my other rifle feel like a unwieldy bloody 2x4!
I’ve used 140gr accubombs in other 7x57’s loaded with H414 before but never with my 21h,
Let us know how it went at the range

I have 21H's, ZG47's, and a bunch of BRNO 600/601/602's in various cals. Got a whack of 7x57's in different rifles so haven't really worked up a specific load yet.

Mine is a 7X57. I use H414 and 154 Hornady Spitzers or 175 Speer Mag Tips. Easily MOA capable. Love the double set trigger. Light enough to sheep hunt. Would love a 7x64.

Hey, just viewed your videos this week on Youtube. We have the exact same rifle and cartridge. I just may purchase a couple boxes of the 173 gr. Sellier and Bellot that you shot on your video. If my 160 gr. accubonds don't workout, I'll try the Speer Mag Tips at the reloading bench.

My oldest 21 is a 1954 marked rifle. It has the single trigger and the round bolt knob.

I could not locate the year stamped on my model 21H, except there is one location on the bell, marked with just a number "50". My rifle as well has the round stainless bolt knob and arm.

The one i had, was beaten up. Worse was that bubba had removed the back trigger. So was 12lb pull, if you tried to adjust it, the rifle would go off closing the bolt.

I tried to find a replacement, since most of my purchases seem motivated by loss. Entirely too expensive. However, i did get a 7x57 in a M77 mkii.

Seems like most rifles in Canada are stamped ‘50’.
Got to wonder if that was the peak of production or if it was that most 21’s exported to Canada were exported in that year.

I dont know, but yes its peculiar. I've noticed this with many models imported by TEC. They'll all be the the same year of manufacture.

I had a hard time finding scope rings at first and really didn’t want to bend the bolt handle.
Lynx has them but it was a pain to deal with them (shipping from ZA) I don’t know that there are any Lynx dealers here.
I ended up contacting CZ parts in the Czech Republic and had no issues getting rings.
(Not sure if I am allowed to post a link here)
They have a few different types, I went with a 1 piece steel ring with QD levers.
They were a bit of a pain to install at first but I’m pretty happy with them.
It took 2 weeks from when I ordered for the rings to pitch up here and cost about $100+ shipping if I recall.
Look them up if you’re after rings for your rifle.

I have Warne QD on the Brno. I purchased them at Canada Brass for about $124.00 and one week delivery time......great quality. Alaska Arms LLC also makes rings for the Brno, and appear to be of good quality.

What scope do you have on there?
I was under the impression that the Warn rings won’t be high enough?
It’s good to know though if that’s not the case
