Best AR optic under 500$??

Hey guys looking to buy an optic for my S&W mp15 and was hoping for some advice as to what optics are best to co-witness with the fixed front post. Looking at Vortex's and eotech's. What are the best options under 500$? Thanks

Not cowitness but I have two ARS with Burris AR332 .....great optic for the price...... poor man's ACOG .....Lifetime warranty

Lots of choices depending on what you want to do with it and the quality of your vision. If you have an astigmatism a RDS may be problematic however a prism red dot can help. Will you want magnification, if so a 1-4 or 1-6 scope is attractive, Vortex Strike Eagle is in your price range, remembering a scope mount needs to fit into your budget.

holosun and sig sauer make great red dot optics in that price range. You can save a little longer or look on the EE for an aimpoint PRO

Yes if you stretch your budget to 600 or so you can get eotech, trijicon rmr, aimpoint from the EE no problem.

Vortex strikefire is a nice red dot prism scope for around $500

A true contender to the TRIJ. Looked at the Burris and Vortex prism equivalents, not as intuitive as the primary arms. Eched reticle, adjustable diopter, 11 brightness levels, sturdy construction, easy to use.

Aimpoint Pro for the win. They show up quite often in the EE for right around the $500.00 mark.

I have an Aimpoint ACO sitting in the box somewhere, it was under $500 new, but I'm pretty sure they discontinued them - essentially a PRO with a cheap mount and no night vision settings.

See if there is a pro on there. Should be available in that price point. Go aimpoint and forget the rest.

A holosun 510c is $420 brand new. It's led technology which looks crisper than holographic sights like on the eotech. I switched from an eotech to a holosun and couldn't be happier

I dislike eotechs but im tired of this recurring nonsense. Stop staring at the reticle. It says so right in your user manual...

Not if you have an astigmatism. Best to look through one before you buy.
