C-71 - Important Info Thread

Well, we let the internet name our gun! The winning name is Model C-71. Here's some preliminary specifications:

  • It's based on the 10/22 action
  • Made from aluminium. 6061 or 7075, we have yet to determine which is best for this.
  • 22LR Caliber
  • Integrated rail
  • Anodized finish, black & other colors possible
  • Sold as receiver along or assembled rifle
  • Price: TBD
  • Release Date: Unknown, we need to test this. We aren't going to release it unless it's perfect. Best guess, Q4 2019, Q1 2020.
  • More pics to come soon!

Ruger mags by default. However due to some changes to our action compared to others we have the ability to change what magazines it accepts by changing a part. More info to come soon.

Please make it take mags that accept more than 10 rounds. The Ruger mags are fantastic, however thanks to our overlords the 10rd capacity sucks.

In some applications, absolutely it's better, but for a 10/22 action it likely makes zero difference. Thousands of rounds of testing will tell. It's double the cost and doesn't anodize as well, so if mechanically it's not required then we will not use it.

i agree, as a MFG i can tell you 6061 is more then enough for a 10/22 as long as you got with Hard anodizing.
using 7075 its just spending $60 more at cost for no reason.
As long as you have the manufactures lic and the insurance to cover it the cost in case someone gets injured, its should be a big win!!
id be up for a few of these, as i find the quality of the rugers now days quite low.

Yes, you sir, are awesome! 7075 is not automatically a better material, plus I've heard it doesn't machine as well since the extra hardness can increase tool deflection.

We are a licensed manufacturer and we will absolutely have these available for dealer sales. Initially as just receiver sets, and eventually as complete semi-custom guns.

If you need a local guy to help with testing, I'm more than happy to help ;). I know how stressful it will be for you to shoot the thousands of rounds necessary.

picking up C-71 as a name was a smart marketing decision, with a bit of SEO on ur website side and every C-71 google search will end up on your website ;)
