Seriously though, I can ship from other dealers and pay PST and still come in significantly cheaper, they just don't have the excellent selection of X-reload.

and now with the hazmat charges on shipping powder has stopped me from placing most of my reloading orders that would have gone to them in the past....their loss I guess?

The cost of anything tooling-related to reloading (ex. not actual cartridge components) is so high in this country that it's quite often cheaper the order & ship to the US and then bring it over the border yourself. None of it is covered by ITAR or Canadian import laws so the worse that'll happen is that you'll be forced to pay the duty.

I was told that reloading components were under ITAR as well but in Jan they were trying to remove a pile of restrictions through ITAR, although it does not look like this has happened yet.

I have lots of gripes with X-reload. The website often flat out doesn't work for me, shipping for powder is insane and I can't ever seem to buy more than 2 of anything, like they limit you..? Too bad because their prices are OK and selection is pretty good.

They don't limit you, they just don't keep that many of each SKU. They're not THAT big a business, and with such a large selection, they can't carry so many of each items.

I was buying single boxes ( 20 mt brass/box ) of a rather obscure caliber as they became available, until I inquired about a larger quantity single purchase to cut down on shipping costs.I provided my credit card # and received 5 boxes in one shipment.Very accommadating.

Not to hijack this thread, but just to let everyone know. My shipping costs are reasonable & no HazMat fees on shipping powder.

Regards, Henry

And that is why I purchase almost all of my powder from you! I usually try throw in a couple other things that you have as well.

As far as I know, reloading components (brass, bullets, powder, dies) fall under ITAR.

The tooling for reloading definitely does not, I have confirmation from the US retailer I have purchased from... they said they never fill out the export paperwork for the tooling and haven't had a problem in the ~10 years they've been selling reloading equipment.

Ya, the dies and such are still just considered tools, projectiles and brass are considered components.

I thought Trump was going to get rid of that part of ITAR
