G36

My sources tell me there was 200+ parts kits imported.

Why do all the ads keep saying “Only a couple units available” ? They must mean only a couple hundred available.

So they can be like "surprise" we have 10 more in like a year.

I had advance warning several months ago that these would be coming in, my friend told me around a 4000 price tag, so all dealers are making 4000 profit on each rifle....talk about ripoff!

So are they the real thing, i would have room in my budget for one, if we ever get the truth about them.

With no more inputs than that, it's hard to decide.

I'll stick with my 100% genuine with authentic top rail and dual optic carry handle for $1500 more. I think this actually drives up the value of the real thing.

It's as real as buying any other gun with a replaced barrel and bolt. Is an accuracy international rifle real if the barrel and bolt have been replaced? No manual or warranty.

IMO. It's not HK built rifle, so it does not justify HK price as a collectable. Real G36E is 10-12K.

So many excellent NR black rifles out there but fools and their money are soon split apart.

If you're looking for an "investment" or "collectible" you would probably be better served with getting a G36 with the factory barrel and bolt, however if your looking for a excellent NR semi, your money is well spent, you also have the "meat & potatoes" in this to do a relatively easy conversion to a "K" or "C" model if you choose? Good Luck.

My thoughts as well lol.

You realize this is not an official Hk sale right? This is a parts kit gun. They have no official Hk warranty, and no official backing from Hk... keep drinking the hatorade though, always makes me laugh.

That's is what I have been reading in that case I will pass.

YeP I ReAlIzE iTs NoT gEnUiNe OfFiCiAl HK! Chill dude.

If you don't want to get called out for spouting or regurgitating dumb inaccurate #### maybe you should pay attention to what you're posting.

Or not it's always good to confirm who is retarded than to wonder.

This all assumes that the Walther barrels have been properly stress-relieved through heat or cryo-treatment after having been profiled to G36E dimensions by a contracted company here in Canada. I have had the unfortunate experience of owning several after-market HK Barrels which were utter garbage in the accuracy department - an HK 416 clone Barrel Assembly and an HK G36K Forend. Both were sourced from (you guessed it), HKParts.net.

So, my experience suggests that mediocre aftermarket HK Barrels are a very real possibility. I am not saying that this is the case here, but caution would be prudent. I'd want to accuracy-test the new aftermarket barrel in my very expensive new rifle without delay. I was able to squeeze honest 2 MOA, 5-round groups at 100m out of my G36E with it's ferociously heavy trigger, back when I owned one. That was elbows on a bench, using 62gr greentip surplus. I'd say that is a reasonable accuracy baseline for any G36 fired under similar circumstances. I'd settle for 2" and hope for better as a trade-off for the shorter service life of the Walther Barrel.

The heat treatment should happen immediately after rifling of the blank, otherwise you can warp the barrel just from turning the profile alone. Some companies can stress relieve them again after profiling but I'm 90% sure that it won't happen with the companies here. As long as you're not hogging material off the barrel with the lathe you shouldn't put any real stress into the barrel from profiling it.

A good barrel blank shouldn't have any issues as long as the gunsmith turning it knows what he is doing.

As for the HK Parts barrels, unfortunately there were a ton of issues with them from what I heard, which leads me to believe they used poor quality blanks (I don't think HKparts ever released who they used) or poor quality tooling/machining to make them. Unfortunate, but thankfully not the norm for aftermarket barrels :)
