We can look into it. Unfortunately a lot of cool stuff you see advertised from China isn't in production, they are usually samples to show what the factory is capable of, and needs a military scale production run to start manufacturing

So, how close a copy of the 416 is this rifle?
Doesn’t HK still hold some kinda Patent on their design?
i have no idea ive never held one of these Chinese copies nor has anyone else in Canada i imagine. but hk has a history of suing the guy in the states who owned cohaire arms/titan defence for copying the 416, that guy was a sleazebag though, hed just go away for a while then turn up under a new name making his guns again, i think hkparts has some of his stuff for sale but i haven't checked their site in a while
anyway the us made copies were mostly parts interchangeable, i imagine these would be the same as that's what the Chinese do, make a copy, just not made as well for the most part. but just like people who will buy the norinco sig p220 clone instead of the real sig there are always people that will want a copy instead of spending the money on the real thing, they have their reasons, some cant afford the real deal, others can but cant be bothered spending over 3k on an hk mr223 just to sit at a bench and punch paper, ect.

the ar patent has expires, and the hk 416 uses an ar-18 short stroke piston which has also expired, but im not sure if the 416s patent is still good or not. mildot would know, don't think i can tag people on here though
