Fake cans/suppressors

Got me thinking about taking off the awesome 50cal barrett style brake i have and swapping to a fake can for my 223. I love the brake but i cant hunt with the rifle now

Getting closer, this is our current design. Exterior dimensions are the same as our other fake cans -- just under 1.25 x 5.5" and it covers 4.5" of barrel length.

As designed, it would fit the following barrels/gas lengths, assuming a 1" long gas block (i.e. not an FSB):
- 10.5" or longer barrels with a Pistol gas system,
- 14.5" or longer barrels with a Carbine gas system,
- 16" or longer barrels with a Midlength gas system, and
- 18.5" or longer barrels with a Rifle gas system.

Even with hollowing out the inside, we're looking at about 340 grams (just under 12 oz) ... does that put anybody off?

I hope to have a finalized design and an ETA within a week or so.

Price will be $99 or less

ETA to be confirmed

can you add a 13" BCM MCMR rail to that pic?

On a rifle barrel with a 1" long gas block (typical length for a low-profile gas block), it's about 13.7" from the receiver front to the gas block, downrange end.

Here are some pics with outlines of 13" and 15" handguards.

That BCM handguard has an inner diameter of 1.3" and the muzzle device has an outer diameter of 1.24" so it should fit inside.

I've been trying to find a linear comp for my setup, was going to buy S&Js off your website but I'll drop everything for this one. Is there enough interest to make it a reality?

Edit: Looks like it's in the process, excited!

Anyone experience bad shifts in poi with the fake can? I have a 16.5" hb 223. Looking to add a non reverse style can for coyote hunting. My current brake makes it basically a range toy
