Where to shop for quality doubles?

I picked up a couple at Accuracy Plus (used gun section) in Peterborough but it is really hit and miss. They don't really have a selection of new sxs's but the used stuff that do come in are decent. They have a couple of Foxes that I am eyeing because they are well priced.

I agree, as there is just not the market in Canada for a shop to devote to dealing in just high end doubles. So like stated it is hit and miss as to where you find quality doubles. Pick up a copy of the Access to Firearms paper as very often there are doubles listed, it could give you some leads anyways. Epps, Precision Arms, Gobles, Prophet River, try any shop you can think of as you may just get lucky.
 
Not Italian but every bit as good or better, Prophet River stocks AYA and Grulla. My go to upland guns are a pair of Grullas in 28 and 16 gauge.
 
As mentioned the market in Canada for a dedicated doubles store is minimal at best.
But, having a repertoire with your local gun shops yields many hidden gems.
I know of two stores in Vancouver who hold such gems. (Fraser Street and Renfrew St.)
Sometimes these gems find their way into the racks or the internet inventory and other times special customers get this late afternoon phone call
with a description of just such a firearm they have been looking for.
Twenty minutes later a happy customer is walking out the door.
Importing for something elusive in Canada might just be the answer...the USof A or the head East to Europe.
The world isnt that large anymore.

The Iside 28 is a magical little gun. I really like mine but often wished it was a 20 so I could shoot a little steel through it. I picked up an Iside Prestige Tartaruga Gold in 20 with every intention of contacting you regarding your WTB ad for an Iside 28. You know what they say about the road paved with good intentions.

I agree, I have a Iside Prestige in 20 myself. Excellent quality, light weight and well balanced. Recommend.
 
Prophet River will import what you want from the US for around $100 plus freight. That is a minimal surcharge as a percentage of the cost of a “high end double”.

Shop the US and your options explode.
