What to do with all the AR uppers

I wonder if the industry....or what will be left of it....is considering producing a platform that could host an AR upper in a single shot or repeater format?

A lot of us have DMR style ARs and their uppers or certainly barrels would make ideal compact varmint/target rifles in either single shot or repeater format.
Ideally a platform that accepts the entire AR upper sans semi auto capability.
Im sure this makes the horse police cringe...as well their lefty overlords....but this idea is NOT about skirting the law OR loopholing semi auto ARs but to make legitimate use of tens of thousands of our private property useful/valuable in the event it is rendered politically/legally otherwise.

Will it be a simple as removing the gas system and carry on?
Should be but certainly won't be that easy :jerkit:


Again....NOT looking to stir the pot on illegal loopholing or other crackpot schemes.....I'm sure Im not alone in looking thru the keyhole at the future and planning to make the best of things...as I have been doing for nearly 60yrs of lawful responsible firearms ownership/use....personally and professionally.:canadaFlag:

the fascist (Turdo) are stupid but not that stupid. The deal will likely be $300 per complete AR and $0 for lowers so thats your answer right there
 
"If" the Libs win tomorrow night, the BAN includes "ALL" semi-auto rifles not only AR's and restricted. Basically all Non-restricted semi's as well to make Wendy and Poly happy. Then they will move to "ALL" handguns to make Wendy, Poly and the Doctors happy.

Then if the win again on 2023 they will start banning any rifle with a scope (calling it a "sniper rifle") ..... :(
 
Considering you have a grace period to call in and make changes to your registration, if they come door knocking for my "assault rifles" they will get stripped lowers and the explanation that I just parted them out yesterday evening and couldn't call in to make changes after hours.

Don't know the name of the guy I sold the parts to because that's not required for a sale of such parts.
 
my AR-15 has only ever been registered as a lower only. (You have 30 days to register if you alter it to fire....."Sorry officer, Only put it together last night")
I already have non registered non completed lowers (Bare castings). If I have to turn in my lower. I will finishing one of the castings and the rifle will be going out to one of 4 farms. 1800 acres is the smallest one. Best of luck officer.

If they are paying for stripped lowers with no questions asked. I'll be buying a 3D printer.

Modify upper with non-removable front hole adaptor or manufacture a new upper like the non-restricted types. Keep barrel, bolt carrier and the works and give up stripped upper. We can do this all day. They started the game.
 
Wll here's my "spin" on this, and I know a little about what it takes to "deactivate" or "destroy" a firearm. It's paperwork and very labor intensive, I can't see a "break" from the current system and simply throwing them in a metal drum, welding the top and incinerating it won't work. I would think that Socks, "handlers" pitch this as "doable" and I'm sure Blair gave it the "nod" since he's not in policing anymore and would have to deal with it. It will be downloaded to the provinces, and I'm guessing very low on the list of police forces since it will drain money and resources. If it gets pushed to the front and we see squads of police showing up at anytime of the day, then it's time to move my friends. The $250 million won't cover the overtime and salaries in the first year, never mind the support staff etc. When and if it hits the "billions" then maybe Joe Public will wake up and smell the coffee. I will be waiting the 2 yrs and see what happens. Good Luck, cause Socks is going to need it!!

A temporary Liberal/NDP alliance is a likely outcome, wherein all bets would be off. If they did have time to get round to gun banning, restricting / prohibbing all semiautos would have no downside for our new Marxist overlords.
When things fall apart and there is a new election with different Marxist leaders, the restricting / prohibbing would be moot, and the dice rolled again.
So hang on to whatever you can, the Conservatives might reverse the bans before smelting hour.
 
You have 30 days to notify them of changes. Who’s to say you didn’t strip down your rifle, sell all the parts and kept the lower receiver 29 days ago?

money is of no concern for the fascists. first of all they will lie and hide it. if 200 million turn into 2 billion, it will be spread out over the years and they will spin enough lies to hide hide. Also the middle class will get to pay for it (like they will pay for all handouts) and therefore they dont give a ####

I get your point, however the cost of the long gun registry and fiasco's like Phoenix, got "traction" because of there ballooning cost. While your "dyed in the wool" commie won't care, folks in the center won't like the idea of all that money getting priority over other GOV programs, however I could be wrong.

it doesnt matter. .. the people getting free housing, free daycare, free medication and whatever else free that they are promising are not paying ANY of it, so they dont care and dont care for a few more billions for gun confiscation or pipelines.

Awhile back I asked ATRS if it was possible to modify ar uppers to work with their NR ar lower for the dominion arms single shot 50bmg rifles, thinking it might be nice to have a few straight pull single shot caliber change uppers. They said it wasnt possible to convert them sadly.

However, if I owned an ar i would be re-registering them as lowers only NOW. Why wait? Them you can swap your uppers as you please until you decide what you want to do with them.

Well, whether it matters or not? , I will say this, the middle class does the "heavy lifting" in this country, that includes "small L liberals" as well. We all know the NDP policy of "make the rich pay" is a dream, the only way to pay for a Liberal/NDP coalition is a tax hike, companies like Facebook, Amazon etc will leave Canada, with the Trans Mountain idled and QC demanding more money and not respecting Canada, the East/West fracture gets bigger and and bigger.

There are plenty of wealthy Liberals in Canada, and like us, the wealthy were singled out. If taxing the rich was the answer it would have been done yrs ago. The only way the NDP model works if we go the way of the Chinese?, if that happens, well I'm not worried about a ban. YMMV
 
I sure hope if this comes to pass there will be a little more peaceful non compliance. But from everything I see and here canadians will roll over just like th Australians did.
 
If trudeau or lpc/ndp take elections we're all screwed. Plain and simple. Even if you get to keep uppers what you gonna do with them? Nothing legally. Handguns will be gone shortly after. Left is winning the battle. And it's not just about firearms rights, it's about all rights and freedoms.Free world as we know it is in grave danger. Well, always hope for the better
