Looks like proprietary Kriss mags, either 10 or 30 round. In this case that's a plus - because pistol mags are limited to 10.

Anyone know if the bolt does directly backwards or does it do the Kriss thing where it pivots down?

I think the bolt just goes back, doesn't go down. Not much need for "recoil reduction" in a 22LR. I would be interested in seeing how reliable they are. I have 2 Kriss 45 ACP, one NR one R and the R one is much more fun to shoot. It's actually very fun to shoot. I imagine a reliable 22LR would also be really fun.

I have the 18.6" barreled NR version, but if this 6.5"er can be NR, why can't my 10mm with an equal length barrel?

Yes. The rimfire has no barrel length requirements. The firearm itself needs to meet minimum overall length requirements. Only a centerfire has barrel length requirements.

It still has the prohib requirement. Can't be shorter than 105mm (4 inches)...but that would be pointlessly short anyway.

Incorrect. The 105mm length only applies to handguns. If it’s not a handgun, then it doesn’t apply.
