Was out this morning working on a load for my M7 Extreme Weather 270WSM. I have shot this load before in this rifle but only at 100yrds and have usually managed MOA plus or minus depending on me. Today I headed out to the 300m range to see how she goes and was shocked a bit at the results. I'm guessing that my rifle won't stabilise these heavy bullets much past 100m.

I have used 130gr AB before with OK results but was hoping to find a do all bullet in the 160gr NP. I have a box of 150gr LRAB but I'm thinking my 1/10 twist might be to slow for them as well.

All groups are 4 shots each

Damn that's too bad. I've shot the 150gr Nosler ABLR in a 10 twist Rem 700 270wsm and 300y accuracy was very good, with Retumbo

I had a rifle built for my buddy, we went with a 9 twist Benchmark for his 270 Wby Mag and it's shooting the 150gr Accubond very very well

Doesn't look like a stability problem. All holes are round. What size of groups do you normally shoot at 200 and 300m, with this or other rifle. I have often observed that many shooter's groups open up wildly when they have to shoot past 100m.

Well, I'm no F-Class shooter but still better then almost 6" at 200m! Hell my 20ga slug gun groups better at 200m with a 1-4 for glass!

A 10 twist Howa 243 will shoot 9" groups at 100y with 90gr Sierra Tipped Gamekings @ 3280 fps. Berger twist calculator suggests a stability factory (SG) of 1.12

Holes are round in the target

You should have bought a Savage Axis...they always shoot "one ragged hole" groups....:)

I haven't shot the 160 Partition, but my 270win Axis really likes the 150.

The 150 part has a better BC than the 160, and a sectional density better than a 180gr 30cal pill, so if you're looking for a do it all bullet, it's a good choice.
