Is it still worth upgrading your AR furniture with the Liberals still in power???

I want to replace some of my stock AR furniture but with the Liberals still in power, I'm worried that they are going to prohibit them...

What do you guys think?

There's no prohibition on the furniture. Even if they prohibit it, and even try to confiscate it, you can just disassemble the rifle and give them just the stripped receiver.

There are other rifles that can use that AR furniture.

Technically the only thing you owe the Liberals if they ban ARs is the lower.

Assuming they leave other platforms alone (I won't mention any names as that would be making said rifles targets for gun grabbers) all the other parts could then be used for a NR build.

But this is all hypothetical, who knows what the Liberals will or won't do.

You could follow Mike's lead, he has a bunch of NR rifles that aren't on any registry so it would be hard to track them down should they be banned. He hangs out around Canmore.

If the Liberals do ban them it’ll be a loooong @$$ time before they do. Bill C71 was passed on June 21st last year, 285 days ago, and yet the CZ 858 is still non-restricted. Buy the furniture and enjoy yourself.

Agreed, if anything the Turd Reich and his regime are going to have a harder sell to burn up a bunch of cash for some virtue signalling selfie opportunities now that we have a real crisis which really needs a bunch of cash throwing at it to straighten things out.

I think it's safe to say there won't be any 'buy back' money any time soon. Silver lining in $#!+ times I suppose.

With all do respect, that is incorrect. I'm not going to pretend I know an exact figure of how much it would cost but I can assure you it would be an exuberant amount of money.

My point was that you shouldn't expect to receive compensation. It's not a given.

Lol for ####'s sake.

Is it really worth brushing your teeth when you're just going to die eventually anyways?

I think this sums it up pretty well.

The Pandemic has given them something else that REQUIRES their attention. Some of those Clowns may actually think they are doing good with a Firearm Prohibition of some sort, but it'll be a hard sell over the next few years to spend money on a buyback. IF they actually get around to doing anything this term, confiscation without compensation isn't a very likely outcome. I'm just going forward like it's another day, in fact I should have two deliveries tomorrow...now if they only opened the Outdoor Ranges.

I think you should buy or do whatever it is that you want as far as your firearms are considered. Anything perceived by gun owners as negative coming from Feds now will be long time coming or never due to unfortunate recent events. Fed money will be tight once all this is finally said and done and last thing they will have an appetite for is to spend several billion buying back guns from us...and they will absolutely NOT come and confiscate your property without compensation....quit listening to the fear and panic mongers on this forum! And besides...gun shops would love your business especially now...so help to support them.
