Another Swiss Arms PE90 thread

I'll be putting a 6.5-20x 50mm Zeiss Conquest on mine. I've ordered the Black special target (flat top) model.

Armament, how is yours with your 6.5-20x scope?

If I do get a PE90, I have a spare 4.5-14x50, just wanted to be sure since I saw an SL8 at the range with the same set-up as I have intented.

:D Well, I just paid the down payment on my Swiss Arms PE-90 Black Target special (flat top). The rifle is still at the store until it's all completey paid for. At least it's reserved for me and locked up in the back.

Other than having to come up with two more large payments, I'm like a kid at Christmas.
This UN marking thing has me a bit worried too. So I jumped at the chance. One to two months and it'll be in my safe. :D

I have to stop buying these things. I still need a bunch of scopes. When an opportunity comes up I guess you just have to go for it. Better to do without the scopes and get the rifle. At least that's what I told myself.

if it's new, it really isn't hard to figure that one out. *cough*only one importer*cough*:)

I just special ordered a Classic Green 14.3" Carbine from Wolverine (9 months to wait), do they get it through TSE? I was under the impression they (Wolv.) handled the import... guess I'll have UN etching regardless. Oh well...

as far as i understand they come through TSE.

maybe redleg or someone else who knows the deal can correct me if i'm wrong.

I put a Night Force NXS 5.5 X 22 X 56 on my Black Special!!!
It's a little heavy but shoots less than MOA 5 shot groups at 300 yds.

Rebel, nice glass. Most of the scoped PE-90s around here seem to have Zeiss, Swarovski (sp?), Leupold and the odd NF on them. Zeiss Conquest seems to be the ticket for me. It's good enough that I don't have to hang my head low around NF buggers like Rebel!!! :)

Armament,
I'm biased too. I love shooting scoped rifles. Let me put it this way on my next major buy after this one is all paid for I'll be getting:
1) Leupold 6.5-20x 40mm EFR for my Kimber .22 SVT
2) Four, Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x 50mm scopes for the rest of my rifles.

If I want to shoot iron sights I'll shoot my pistols, or a shotgun :D

Yup they all come through The shooting edge. However they have a lot of dealers and you may find one at a dealer's store if you're lucky. I know there is a wait list at the place I bought mine from. It's a popular rifle and not that many are imported.

Scoco

The big fear is that the companies won't bother for Canada with the UN markings. Even the really popular rifles such as Remington etc will then ship up one batch a year only. So the supply of rifles will be seasonal. Rifles like the Swiss Arms/Sig and other less common specialty rifles will be even harder to get if not impossible. Since the company won't bother for such small orders. Anyways that's the fear. Most believe it will just be rolled back as has happened so far, but there are no guarantees. It's a bit of a wild card right now.

I thought TSE was only importing the LB Carbine with the barrel about 17.X inches long with the sight rail.

Hey TSE fellows, are you bringing in the shorter carbine? With Iron Sights???
