Purchased a brand new Mossberg 935, received this...

Mossberg Canada has replied. They simply asked for a serial number and directed me to Wolverine Supplies for repair as it is "in warranty"... Didn't even get an apology or an ounce of compassion. Now before someone gets all riled up about bigger problems in this world, sorry is one of the most common words us Canadians say. It is said even when it isn't warranted because of our general friendly nature.

Apparently this is the experience Mossberg customers should expect if they won't apologize for it. I guess it was too much to expect from Mossberg Customer Service...

What did Cabelas have to say about it?

On another issue I tried calling Cabela's
After 40minutes on hold I hung up
My one order from Cabela's from April 4, 2020
Just shipped today..
Panic buying maybe???

Caveat emptor. Buyer Beware.

Go to a Cabala's in Canada and one in the U.S. Notice the absolute difference?

In my opinion Cabala's Canada is a U.S. clearing house for the old SiR crowd out of Winnipeg.

What kind of warranty repair can be offered on a completely used gun? Makes no sense. If any gun that is used is replaceable, then Mossberg better get ready for an influx of used guns at seasons end.

Im more curious to know what the retailer has to say. They are the ones that shipped out a used gun. Its been asked numerous times, does the serial number on the gun match the box?

Hey so did the serial numbers match OP? I missed that reply if you made it.

Let us know. Sorry to hear that.

Least you got something. I've still gotta call CC company to dispute a charge with a certain other vendor who happens to be Canadian but doesn't say sorry. Sometimes #### happens man.

That was a store demo....technically not "used" but not new either...i bought a bow from them once, shipped in a non-factory box and was covered in light handling marks...they ended up refunding more than 50%...i was happy with that...but that gun looks ROUGH

Like others have said maybe it's a store demo model. I got a Browning BPS, on clearance and it was clearly a demo gun on the rack. Ring marks in the triger guard, wear marks on the bluing where the pump was due to it not being oiled when tested out, and a nick out of the trigger/trigger guard where someone had dropped it. I got it like 400 off, but I wasn't too pleased and won't be buying from that company again though it does run flawlessly and is a great gun still not happy it wasn't New New. Doesn't really matter who makes the firearm this stuff happens. Though I'd be willing to bet it happens more with a cheaper firearm brand like mossberg.

Not quite the same but I got a set of dies from them that was sold as new but was full of case lube. And the shell holder wasn't there. They were good and sent me a shell holder and a 25$ gift card.

Yo be clear you ordered it at the end of March and it has just arrived ?
Why frett about the "what if" unless you have heard from them first.
Why post and pout before speaking with the retailer ??
Plus, the added bonus is most cc have a purchase protection plan in place.
Call the retailer and then call you cc compnay and get that ball rolling and if all else fails the....
Send it back....
There are way more important issues to contend with at the moment, when will I be able to go hunting, when will my next paycheck arrive, when will the CERB be deposited in my account.
A new tool that one just bought is defective is pretty low on the list of priorities.
Sorry for the piss poor attitude I have posted this morning, but 400 folks from my shop got the axe and they still have mouths to feed and bills to pay too.
Rob

Stop crying, this is a gun fourm, the OP can ask and post what he wants, sorry to offend you, blackface will help you with 2K a month to fill the void, we dont care about your loss of work, your just a damp towel hanging on a rusty towel rack.

i love when people come onto a thread regarding a specific incident, drop pants and dump all over the post when the other 50 comments are all interested, engaging and trying to help, offering info or otherwise.

people gotta stop looking to get offended and mad. Grow up

This is absolutely unacceptable, the company should have contacted you through phone or email and informed you of the condition of the shotgun to see if you still wanted it.
