SKU#: M1CARBINE.

Comes with 5 round magazine and bayonet.

THESE ARE ISRAELI SURPLUS GIVEN TO ISRAEL BY THE US. EACH ONE IS IN DIFFERENT CONDITION THAN SHOWN.

Israel got thousands of them in 1973 as military aid. As the IDF didn't want them they were given to the police and they were the carbine for the police, and mostly for the Civil Guard, for many years.

This is either a teacher or a mother who volunteered to be the armed security on a school trip. Up to around a decade ago this was the arrangement, with the weapons issued by the Police.

I was in Israel in 2013 and they were still carrying them in public. The guards there get a really strange assortment of firearms...one of the guards I worked with carried a Glock 26 (pretty reasonable) and another had been issued a beat-to-#### Hi-Power.

18 inch barrel still restricted?

It is my understanding that this is the firearm that caused the 18.5 inch rule. In 1969 these were common surplus and when they were drafting the legislation, 18.5 was chosen because all the M1 carbines would become restricted. At the time they were the scary rifle they wanted to ban.

Fat lot of good that did. My korean got barrel changed, not to mention the new manufacturers, auto ordnance and fulton armory.

Govt really is dumb.
