What can I say

It seems Glock didn't like that we were exporting their product to Canada... claimed we were messing up their "pricing and distribution structure" so they cancelled our Stocking Dealer status in the US. Stated that they had complaints from various Canadian dealers and distributors.

I couldn't really figure that out because we had been holding our pricing in the "mid-range" and definitely weren't the lowest... all in an effort to get along and not be accused of screwing things up for others, while at the same time trying to give the consumer a reasonable price (certainly a lot cheaper than before we started bringing them in.

Since we're being accused of low-balling and screwing things up anyway... may as well be guilty if we're going to be punished for the "crime" :jerkit:

Oh Mark if you were not in Ontario and I was not so cheap about paying PST I would buy a G19 with a oxidized barrel post haste.

So, does that mean we will not be able to get any more glocks from Questar????? IE G26,27 ect.

Funny thing is that Glock doesn't actually sell to dealers... just to Distributors. Every year Glock does a promo with their US dealers called the Stocking Dealer Program. Basically they allow all dealers who sell Glock firearms (and who have a retail storefront) to buy a limited number of guns (up to 2 of each model up to a maximium of 15 guns if memory serves me right) at a special discount price... they also throw in a bunch of store promo material, hats, pins and other crap. The dealer saves a few bucks for being what they call a "stocking dealer" and he gets a bunch of giveaway stuff to put out in the store. Even though Glock ships those guns direct to the dealer (the only time each year they do that) the order itself for the Stocking Dealer Program is actually placed by the dealer through their distributor. Glock called to tell us that we could no longer participate in this program and when asked they outright stated that the reason is we had (all be it legally and with all required export permits) exported Glock firearms to Canada and they had received complaints about it.

We are a fully licensed US Firearms Dealer... we purchase firearms from a wide variety of US Distributors and Manufacturers. It would be impossible for Glock or any manufacturer to stop any licensed dealer from legitimately buying products and once purchased they have no legal control over the price, location, etc. that those products are resold. As long as we have the legally required permits we have every right to export and import these firearms to Canada. We have never claimed to be an "authorized Canadian Glock Dealer"... but since Glock doesn't actually sell guns themselves in Canada technically no-one is :)

We buy our guns from the same US distributors that other US dealers buy their guns. We will continue to purchase Glock firearms and we expect to continue to export those firearms to Canada as long as US State Department continues to approve export permits... and customers want to buy them from us.

Way to stick it to the competition, ought to teach the "snitch" a lesson, they just gave you a legitimate reason to be even more competitive.

Hey Mark.

I'm in the market for a Glock 22 and am wondering what the shipping will be like to an ON adress? Can you pick up an order from Questar?

Thanks for your time.

Mike

E-mail me directly and send me your postal code so I can get you a shipping cost. Ontario is usually quite cheap unless you're in a really out of the way spot.

We don't operate a retail storefront so no pickup is available.

Mark, do you have more than just the Carbon finished G27?

Thanks

I only have two of the "special finish" Glocks left... one Glock 22 in Desert Camo and one Glock 27 in the Carbon Fiber finish... they are $100 more than their untreated counterparts.

So does this mean people will stop asking $750 + for used glock's in EE ?

or does that just make too much sense ?:runaway:

It makes too much sense, the only people that might sell them for less are the people that bought them new for, say $650. The others sell them at such high prices because they paid more when they got them new...and they don't want to loose money on it when they sell it.
