Finally got my shotgun!

Recently purchased one of my dream shotguns and it finally showed up on Friday, a Remington 1100 Sporting 28ga. Canada post is a little behind, which is understood with the current situation. Was lucky to find the choke tubes from skeet to modified, hopefully they will be here this week. The gun only came with the skeet choke. One of these days I will create an account to be able to post pics directly to here, or get an upgraded membership. Here's a link to some pics.

This is a 28 gauge, so loads are fairly standard and only 2 3/4". Only put AA 3/4oz trap loads through it so far. For grouse hunting I'll be using the Winchester 1oz loads.

Time to buy a press, you can load 28 gauge target loads for about half the price of factory loads.

Yes I am saving all my hulls! Paid $126 for a flat of AA, thought it was decent but should be able to beat that pretty easily if I roll my own.

LOL...Reloading Lesson #1.....You will never save a single penny by reloading your own.
You will however provide yourself a means to shoot more often and will end up having an enjoyable and satisfying hobby.

It is the most natural pointing gun I have.

Yes, the 1100 fits me like a glove. Throw it up, look down the barrel and it is right where it should be every time.

Love the one I have.
It did come with 3 chokes. Tried to find the other two, but apparently for the year of manufacture my shotgun was made, the chokes were from another manufacturer and they only made the 3 chokes that came with firearm from factory.
Have been using Fiocchi target loads with 7 1/2 shot. Patterns well at 35 yards and has worked very well on ruffies, sharptails and blue grouse to date.
My wife loves shooting/hunting with it and is trying to lay claim to it.
Have been considering another 28 in the Benelli Ethos as a replacement for me...but almost half the price, another Sporting 28 is an attractive option!

Yeah mine has the Briley chokes from the factory. Was lucky to find the chokes so quickly. Currently have Skeet, I/C, Light modified and modified.
