Kodiak Defense 180NSR- A shame we never got it, or the turd that never was?

New to the forum. Jumped the gun (no pun) and pre ordered the 180NSR from Tenda. Excited for the rifle and started reading through the limited information online. I’m aware of the Wolverine/Kodiak divorce. Coming to realise Kodiak and Tenda are notoriously unreliable.
Rifle was slated for early Spring 2020. With all the factors in play, it’s apparent this rifle will never exist, but did anybody get their hands on one? Did anybody shoot it? Did any dealers get a demo? Disappointed I put put money down on this and waited instead of picking up a 180c, or a coyote or something (which , as a law abiding citizen, I would sell to Mike in Canmore right before the ban). Does Tenda always suck, or is it a Covid thing?

Here's a novel idea, why not try contacting Kodiak, the ones who are meant to make the rifle.

Sorry for asking questions and creating discussion on a forum? Here’s a novel idea: stop being such a ####.

Well speaking with Kodiak on the phone about a small parts order about two weeks ago they mentioned they were segregating parts bins and setting up assembly stations so they can produce both the WK180C and NSR at the same time. I suspect a lot of the delay is related to the COVID bs.

Why deal with Kodiak ever again? I see Tenda's pre-order is store credit if cancelled..... too bad.
Personally I have always had good dealings with Tenda (and have spent a good deal of money there), but lately what I read has not been kind.
FWIW they have no way to speed up Kodiak so it's up to you if you want to take the credit and move on.

The new Wolverine/Spectre WS-MCR is being shipped already (albeit slowly due to covid).

Next batch ETA is approx 2 weeks

What's the matter, don't want to name another G11 to the named prohib. list like C68?

Am I missing something?

OP asks a question regarding supplier/manufacturer and delivery of rifle.

Someone tells OP to contact supplier/manufacturer to find out delivery schedule.

(Which my the way makes immense sense).

This does not appear to have been done - why not?

And if it has, why not share it the rest of us who may be in the same boat and could use the information?

People can't possibly be helpful of they prefer getting snarky.

Nope, it's just that people need to stop, think, and work out things for themselves rather than instantly going to strangers for help.

So you want to find out if something is being made.

Do you:

A: Google the manufacturers name, go to their site, check out the news section, products section, give them a call and then send them an email?

or

B: Hope that random people on the internet will be able to give you the concrete answer that your previous searching did not?

The forum is full of threads where toddler level critical thinking would have removed the need for a full thread asking a bone question.

That's a lot of words that could be used to help him or post I'm another thread.

OP: I'd say both Kodiak and North Sylva have a history of non-communication and lack of service. That is to say I've tried to ask questions of both in the past and they ignored the queries. Which is no doubt why you asked.

It is a lot of words, which is exactly why no one wants to have to do it over and over and over and over when it's fücking obvious.

Kodiak are highly responsive and are well known for their good customer service, so try again.

I’m sitting at work. The graveyard shift. Pondering the reality of my new Rifle. When I google, I find next to nothing. Just the promise of a Wk 180, with all the kinks worked out. A lot of my google searches lately, related to firearms, give me results on this forum. I join the forum. I’m frustrated with a lack of communication (Kodiaks last update was in 2019 when they ceased Dutch rudders with Wolverine) so I join the “canadiangunnutz” forum. Knowing that forums based on any interest are notoriously ..... bunk. A bunch of douchebags being douchebags about the topic at hand. The reality is; if I asked the same quesrion at work or at the range, it would initiate a discussion. People would engage in discourse. You wouldn’t say to my face “why don’t you call kodiak or north Sylva you stupid ####”.... you would likely provide me with an answer based on your knowledge, or say “I’m not sure , I did t order that rifle”. Maybe even a platitude- “good luck with that, chief” etc. You’re a #### though. You didn’t have a constructive comment , so you went out of your way to be dismissive. What was your motivation? I’m new? You want to #### on the new guy, because he asked a stupid question? I can assure you, I pursued all the avenues available before I signed up for this forum to ask my question, only to be chirped by some douche bag with a baby #### ( it’s little , isn’t it , big man). TLDR, I want my rifle, hoped somebody had some information, because there’s #### all on line and nobody answers phones or email any more. Pew pew

Let them be tough guys. I'm counting the days since I tried to ask both the manufacturer and a vendor for an update. Tick tock. Ask questions and ignore the flatbrimmers.

Let's say Kodiak used to be fairly good. They're probably overwhelmed by the guns they're supposed to be delivering during a pandemic.
I don't know many companies that are answering phones during this time. Not sure why not email though?

BTW I tried one of their early rifles and wasn't impressed. Unfortunately, none of their later designs seem to be much better.
Several issues with the rifle (SKS-KD) I got and they sent me a replacement. Still not quite right even though it works mostly.
That's really a shame because we need more Canadian firearm suppliers.
