My guess is the inept a$$hats forgot to add “50” after RPA quadlock and the AX is a copy/paste from AX 50 above it. Either way it clearly states 10,000 joules so its bunk.

For the AI AX, I'm more inclined to think they misunderstood what multi-caliber means. And the RPA 50cal is called the Range Master 50, there is also the Range Master 7.62 and 338.
Considering the S&W M&P 15-22 is on the list, incompetence should never be ruled out.

RPA Quadlock period. Even thought it is the sub section with rifles over 10,000 joules does not stop the possibility of a customs officer/RCMP/port police from seizing it by name if you were to try entering the country with one. This needs to be removed or amended from the OIC. Many Canadian Target Rifle shooters take their RPA Quadlock rifle out of country to compete and on the same note many overseas competitors bring their RPA's to Canada to compete.

Another concern is the Barnard GP. The Barnard GP is designed for cartridges like the .50 cal. However many Target Rifles are built on the Barnard P action.

Unfortunately folks we are reaping what we sowed.

It would appear that now target shooters are affected, not only the hand gunners and 'black rifle crowd' We should see how this works. Incriments. Next will be repeaters, then all firearms. It wont be long now.

It would be best if Wolverine were to champion this issue, get to the bottom of it, and provide guidance.

The AI website does not list an AX model in 308 or 338; the models are AX308 & AXMC. So there is a good chance that the AX308 & AXMC are not effected.

Here is what needs to be done:
  • determine if the 'Accuracy International AX' listed in the OIC includes the AX308 and AXMC models
  • get a written clarification from the CFC stating that the 308, 300 and 338's are not effected
  • if they are effected, find out how this error can be be corrected
 
I did contact Wolverine to get more info. I’m not the only one that did that.

The rifles are still listed on their website...

I’ll let you guys know... how many of you are impacted by this?

This was my thinking as well. Would listing “AX” not have covered the AX50? If not, which it does look like it wasn’t meant to blanket everything, but be specific, then I’d say the AX is something different than the AX50, which would mean the AX308 and AXMC are different as well and also not covered by “AX”.
 
Can you tell us when the FRT was revised?

It this current? Any way to have the full page for the AI? The FRT table is fully updated?

I know nothing,got this off a guy on the AB hunting Facebook page.
I assume it was updated sometime between Friday and now...

Guys, I just got the full FRT updated table for the AX and it’s all good, unrestricted!

We can breathe for now.
