Why were rifles like the tavor and RDB spared?

Don't reply with "they are next" because that's just redundant. They probably are, but in the meantime, the public safety spokesman was specifically asked why the TAR21 was not included and they gave an answer along the lines of there not being many of them in the country and/or they have certain specifications that did not meet the criteria of the ban.

What the hell does that even mean?
 
I would say the fact that they where not use in high profile shooting in Canada, the rdb does not have military lineage.

Also plz correct me I am only like 20% sure on this but I taught a good while before JT was premiere he was saying that he would not ban guns and I believe he had a tavor?

He actually called out the tavor in an attack on Harper after he became leader of the party if I remember correctly.

I found it weird some rifles from Canada, China and Israel were excluded.
My guess is that Trudeau is afraid of political backlash.
(We know for a fact that he’s very scared of China)

I think your theory is weird. M305 was very popular in Canada and made in China. Also CQ rifles. I think some people here are so paranoid about China that they can't even think straight.
 
They went after AR 15s and other " 2 piece " rifles ie that have separate upper and lowwers and ones used in profiled crimes in Canada.
 
The OIC ban list is still in its creation phase , and already new firearms are being added to it ; and no doubt more to come . If it is true that those cheap little Mossberg 715Ts , that are just 702 plinksters , were banned ; then it would indicate that the Trudeau govt. is just banning anything , and everything , without reason or justification .
