Let's Track SKS Market Value

I don't agree. Only 7 months ago, Chinese SKS were $190 at Cabela's. I believe that when importation catches up and retailers are restocked, prices will be below $275.

To bad you couldn't buy futures in SKS. You could have made a bunch in April/May. Now you could short them and make another bunch!

Why are you arguing with yourself?

Jk. But seriously, I'm not seeing a significant drop on the EE. They will continue to go up, in my opinion.

The one thing that blows my mind is what the SKS-D is going for. Except the AK mag, it really has nothing over any other average SKS.

Like house prices the SKS will rise and fall with world events (Ukraine) and the state of the economy, but just like house prices ... they will be higher in ten years no matter the short term variances in prices.

And Mosins and K31s will be 125.00 too...

Honestly blows my mind the price of a mosin these days; why anyone would pay more for one than a savage axis is beyond me. I know I miss out out on the k31 train with 1200 rounds for $700 5-7 years ago and I still kick myself. Kind of reminds me of when my father used to talk about a barrel of Enfields and Mausers at the local general store selling for $5 each.

Note: I understand there are many “valuable” mosins like the Finish ones but we’re talking the $99 CT special here.

They are rising similar to all surplus, sks, Mosin, K31 etc. I think more will come in. A good chance the libs realize how many sks there are and chose to stay away from them, if that is the case, we need more! Cabelas will likely bring more in, they are a good loss leaded to get folks into the store or on their website!

Prices are coming down a bit, it seems. Buyers are picky now. Ads are having to be bumped before they are sold.

Would be interesting to see at what point prices will bottom out.

yes, cash is getting tighter, and the sks is dropping,...but alot of others are dropping as well. I have seen some pretty desperate adds lately.
they didnt last long. as people return to "no jobs" and savings spent,..its gonna get worse.

I think prices are kind of stagnant to down due to the Chinese rifles. But they will go soon. From what I know when it comes to number, there are not that many left, maybe 1,000 now. Yes dealers are trying to push up the price for current refurbs. The EE is the place to buy.
