Got my rear drum sight.
Very minor fitting.

Ha got mine in the mail today. It is going to work well for my project. The drum screws off, so I should be able to turn it down, lowering it to get the front sight to work.

No, last week before I shipped my GSG back to Dlask to sort out that barrel. I had a MP5K pistol rear sight installed. Had U notch vs the peep. With the DTB rail delete and that wasn't low enough and it shot very high.
Where did you guys get the rear drum sight from? Mine was shipped from Tiger almost 3 months ago, and I still haven’t received it. I’m thinking I’ll have to re-order from someplace else. I’m looking for the SRC branded one, but they are extremely hard to find.

I have a sister who is terribly addicted to playing R6S and loves the MP5 in that game, as such I am contemplating building up a Dlask 9" GSG16 into an MP5A3 clone that is still optics ready for her enjoyment when she shoots with me.
I am not afraid to spend some cash to make it feel more authentic, I am however quite overwhelmed by the length of this thread and all the different mods people are doing, it's a lot to sift through and take in when you're getting in this late!
Can anyone save me some time by perhaps linking where to get the appropriate airsoft pieces (stock, handguard, lower), iron sight replacements, rail delete fillers, and replacement clone correct optics rail?

Fire Support Ltd in the UK. They're sold out. Just little over a month. Jay and I ordered it the same day ( May 28 ) We both got them yesterday ( NS and Ontario )
Being that the barrels is already under 18" you cannot. Same as I couldn't get my 9" barrel cut back and re chambered. If you wanted to shorten it from 20" to 18" you could, but you cannot shorten a under 18" barrel. It has to be manufactured from scratch to set length.

Problem is alot of the airsoft suppliers are out of stock on pretty much anything MP5. GSG 5 conversion kits are discontinued. So you need to search high and low for one. But Irun was selling them only with a purchase of a GSG16.
Drop The Bomb here makes a GSG rail delete with the raised notch for the HK rear sight, so you don't have to mod it. But you will still have the raised squared section of the receiver, if you don't shave it.
FYI there isn't any replacement recievers. Only way is buying another, or sucking up to BL and putting in a claim. But they don't like the GSG 5 kits. Because I heard Nothing on my service claim on my other.
My GSG with a DTB rail delete. I have a more authentic delete on it. With the slightly raised alignment notch. Mount you can get airsoft ones, but they needed to be modded to work. Plus I don't like metal clamped onto plastic. With not much there to grab onto, the more authentic mounts have narrow claws that bite in.
