ONT New restricted transfer wait times??

I purchased my M&P 2.0 9mm on May 22 - i got the transfer email today (July 28th). Either something caused a spike in approvals or there was nobody purchasing for a few weeks. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

I haven’t heard yet from the retailer I’ll contact the CFO thanks for the update

Just over three months, got my registration certificate first, they never notified the retailer sent them a copy and finally on it's way.

Full timeline:

Bought my Glock 17 on May 7
Transfer was initiated on May 11
Glock was shipped on July 23
Glock arrived at my home on July 27

Still haven’t received my registration though.

Was the transfer completed the day it was shipped? Thats only 8 weeks which is less than a lot of people in this thread lately.

I spoke to my local gun store in Richmond Hill, Ontario and they indicated that they are receiving transfers from the May 11th week. So hopefully you should hear something by next week.

Wow that's encouraging...I have a June 2nd transfer waiting. Maybe I'll see it mid August...

About a month, if you forgot to add your email to one last summer and wait for the paper copy

May 14 -> July 30

8 days and it was my fist restricted

I have no idea why they need so much time for the transfer. For most people, it should be the same or the next day because that's how much time they need to verify everything.

Update: It ended up being approved today
May 14 -> July 30

Interesting...I wonder if they're starting to work faster or with more staff now that we're phase 3....or the backlog tapered down around April

That's what I was thinking, i get how licence can take a long time, but a transfer should be quick. Oh well, just gotta suck it up and wait.

A transfer was just approved for me after ~77 days of waiting. Hopefully it gets a faster for everyone else! (I have contacted the ombudsman)

My transfer notification is dated July 22. Reg cert is dated July 28 and I received it on July 31.
