Curious about RRS BT Pro and RRS SC-LR for the Atlas BT65CAL for ARCA rail, any good?, how about the Arca Rail In general, better the Picatinny in rigidity?. Was looking also at 419 ARCALOCK, like the idea of their mechanical locking feature, but the ARCALOCK Rail is a little pricey. The RRS clamp is compatible with both Picatinny and Arca dovetail .
 
I really like the RRS BTC-Pro clamp for my Atlas. I didn't want to shell out the extra for the SC-LR but I'm sure it would be really nice too. Not sure on what some guys are worried about the lever catching on a barricade or whatever but your bipod would be gone if that happened.

I decided to try an arca lock rail from area 419 and I wouldn't recommend it. To me it adds an unnecessary "feature". The main thing I was worried about was being able to tighten the clamp "on the bump" and I've found that this seems to happen more often than not. Ill be taking the pins out of the one arca lock clamp I have.
As discussed in other RRS threads, if you can find someone else local who wants to order you'll really save on shipping. It is fast from them but you pay for it.

Need to ask RRS about the SC-LR is not compatible with ATLAS 65 CAL, would prefer the lever type than the Bolt type of the BT PRO
 
SJar, you are right, tried to put an order for BT Pro, the shipping was $40, I temporarily canceled the order.
 
I have the lever one on my Ckyepod and the knob ones on my Harris'. They're both great but the lever is nicer since you can just put it to the middle position and the bipod stays on the rail but you can slide it fore and aft. It's also faster to put on and take off. Pricey though but what isn't in this game?
 
Checkout the ADM arca rail clamp. It’s a direct bolt on to atlas Bipods and no adapter blocks required. Also has a nice quick release lever, it’s the 1 that I purchased for my elite setup. Solid unit. Unfortunately nobody in Canada sells these for whatever reason so you gotta pull these in from the states.

I would surely check it out, hope it will also work with Picatinny same as RRS, Thanks
