What are you guys using for binoculars. Preferably around $500-$1000

Leupold GR Switch Power 10/17 x 42mm and I love them despite the sometimes negative reviews seen online.

Vortex Diamondback HD 15x56.

Replaced my spotting scope and they came with tripod mount and glass pack (carrying case with harness).

Really pleased with them and bought them from one of the CGN dealers.

Lower than your price range but I use Vortex Diamondback 10x42s. Small enough to wear all day on a harness, good optics for the money. The areas I hunt are especially friendly to glassing for extended periods (read thick brush), but they do a great job nonetheless when I need them.

I have the 8X40 iirc....
Yup, they are pretty good from early to late light.
But, I am comparing them to some 7x35 Bushnell quick focus from years ago.

Bought a heavily discounted minox rifle scope from a sight sponsor, the thing pizzes me off. I can’t fault it against scopes I paid 3x as much on. It might actually be better but my pride won’t admit it. Good glass to my eye.

I did a lot of research before buying mine and they seem to stack up against some of the more expensive binoculars. I mounted mine on tripod and can read signs from like 1 km away with them.

Vortex can be fine if your hunting is mostly day trips and you have a dealer in your home town. My BIL runs them and they’re nice to look through. He’s had a few sets because they go wonky after about a years use.
