Ruger pc9 future proof? Risk of ban?

Everything is up in the air. Hell from the logic they are using, they could start banning any riflescope that has over 2x magnification because eventually they'll be tell us we don't "need" scopes to hunt a deer. If you can afford the firearm and have the time to enjoy it, continue to do so.

The only question you should be asking, is it currently NR or R?

If its R they can effectively ban it because they know where it is
if its NR.......

To the OP go to a library and look up civil disobedience. If Trudeau does what he most think he wants to do you will realize why I sent you to your library.

You are only fooling yourself if you believe there are guns not on the list for eventual prohibition. Some potato launchers and bb guns need a pal to own, that alone tells you what direction we're headed.

You will never see the Rugger pc9 on any list.

lmao, fixed, ya just alberta boy here, i only hunt, only have pal, built many bolt actions to potential for fun practice on the steel way out there with longest big game at 521 and longest coyote at 620...have always stayed in the non-restricted arena as hunting is my passion far more than shooting, but the rugger pc9 ;) looks like a good one for introducing people and for the odd plinking session on public land

seems people are a little sensitive here and want to flame a newb so to speak, although i've been a member here for ages only to use the buy and sell at times, see why i don't hang around much...doh

is the ruger pc9 on the list? the latest list? is it likely to be? don't worry, i'm with yall on the ban nonsense and the liberal left period, i've filled out the survey's and don't agree, at the same time, i don't need to buy something

i have all the plans needed to take a rock island arms m22 bolt action and convert to 9mm as it's the 9mm cartridge i'm drawn to most, seems like there's no pumps, no levers, and no bolts available for 9mm...just semi-auto, and like many have stated who knows what it will take to ban a firearm as the there doesn't seem to be any rationality behind the reasons they come up with, just figure a bolt action 9mm would be right up my alley but it will cost me likely double to do the conversion than to just grab a ruger pc9

so...any nice guys here wanna let me know if it's a waste of time going down this path for a couple shooting sessions a year? would i be better off to invest double in the bolt action build now as being more future proof?

blackyboy how about using capitalization when writing, where appropriate. It makes reading your comments easier and you come access as someone who has something to say.

eg. just an observation do what you wish it really is not that big a deal is it most don't mind I am sure.

How about listening to your own advice. Can't tell if you're trolling or stupid.

Nothing is future proofed. If we keep giving them an inch, they’ll take a foot. “Death by a thousand cuts” gets thrown around quite bit, but its not just some cute saying to rally the gun community. There is much truth to it. Some new gun owners are usually pretty sceptical, saying “oh they wont ban this, they just banned that and wont go after more”. Anyone who’s owned guns long enough has seen the constant attacks. Even if you think a certain gun is “future proof”, consider what type of magazines it accepts.

For example look at the ruger american ranch AR version. Its bolt action that accepts AR mags. Now these mags are potentially under attack. How many people bought this gun to burn some of their 5.56/223 and use their AR mags? The ruger pc9 takes glock (and ruger) pistol mags. People picked guns like this for the 10-round capacity over CZ scorpion or Sig mpx. If they launch an attack on handguns and 10-round mags, the pc9 suddenly loses much of its appeal.

Nothing is future proof. Stand your ground and give them nothing. Otherwise it will all be gone.

I’d like one of these but worried they will be banned. What are thoughts here on this?

It seems you have answered your own question.
If you think it will get banned, hurry up and buy not one, but two. That is common sense.

Understand that corrupt government intends to confiscate ALL guns from honest citizens soon. Also understand it is the duty of honest citizens to not comply.
