Only when bowhunting or calling coyotes. Once I get back to the truck, it comes off. I'll never wear camo in town or any other time I'm not actively hunting.

I answerd with #3 .however I do not own any digital pattern camo . my camo is archery and waterfowl related .aside from a couple hoodie and light jackets I wear day to day . I always opt for a quiet material like polar fleece . have no use for any material that makes a zippy sound when making contact with its self or brush .

Camo doesn’t make a bit of difference. Huntings just a fashion show these days. Sit down , shut up and be patient will get you more kills than any $1000 camo set will.

Blending in is going to help over time... that goes for all the senses... sight, sound, smell... blend in. Sometimes it does not matter, swirling wind and thermals can bend your scent around a deer (etc) that appears to be straight downwind. Other times the quarry's sight line is away from the hunter and you could be wearing a a tinfoil suit and remain unseen, on other occasions I am certain that camo made a difference. With sound and movement, you had better remain attentive. A small movement on a calm day, particularly if you are lit up in sunlight, will spook any buck worth his head gear... on a windy day when everything is moving, you can get away with alot more movement and not get busted. Similarly, walking in dry, crunchy leaves on a calm morning is not likely to result in a successful stalk, but on a rainy morning when the forest floor and foliage are quiet, you have a much better chance of getting into range. IMO the more precautions you take, over time, will result in a higher overall success rate. Most of the time, I take all of these precautions and more, but the older I get, the lazier I get... and sometimes I cut corners... and to be perfectly honest, that has cost me some animals... but getting skunked doesn't bother me that much anymore... it used to burn like hell.

Just a comparison of flektarn vs oldschool plaid style. This was just my dad and i checking trail cams and not actually hunting but i happened to have my flektarn on and my dad was in plaid so i figured it could make a good comparison!

Not a great example of "deer vision" but yeah, enjoy!

Thats a good pic. You can definitely see how the plaid stands out in comparison.

Rarely, even when I am waterfowl hunting , because I am in a blind . I do wear Carhartts quite often, but most times when I hunt I wear a Jack shirt or a Woolrich coat.
I do have some camo stuff, basically it is very cold weather clothing that I use when coyote hunting, which is rarely these days.

Not to a deer it doesn’t. Camo makes no difference to their ability to see you. Colours do but not pattern. Proven that red and black plaid is almost invisible to deer just due to the colours.

Its like a sneak suit.

Venison acts like I don't exist.

Warmest and best vintage camo I have is vz 63 Czech from my uncle.

Brown rain lines on a greyish-blue background, underprint beneath.

Breaks up during the day and night vision makes underprint appear as a completely different camouflage design.

I sometimes wear it, but generally just wear browns and greens. Orange is mandated for rifle. For crossbow I have a very old pair of well faded green coveralls. Wearing those I have had deer walk up to me within 20 yards. One even within 10 feet. She was eating buds and seemed oblivious to me. I was down wind, but the experience blew me away. I was sitting on a folding chair with a stump close to me for a sort of cover, but she was on the opposite side from the stump. Had a clear view of me. Lack of motion is key to success.

I don't think its worth it personally. Deer are colour blind. They see orange as grey, so why not wear grey pants? Then essentially you're just a grey blob. Stand next to some poplar trees and bam, invisible.

I was squatting on the ground this year in some twiggy brush and was eye level with a doe. She came up 30 feet up to me and I don't think she ever saw me.

Your greatest asset is hunting the wind, I think camo is just a way to separate you from your money
