They just need to do a project with MDT to get some magazines designed specifically for the bison, this with a 30 round mags what a dream.

I know they get bad Rep but I'm glad we got a Canadian manufacturing of decent size that can actually pull off economy of scale... Or just very low margin.

If this was available in something suitable for elk and moose I would buy one yesterday. Might still buy one of these though.

It'd be nice if BCL stepped up and helped challenge the government and RCMP on the shadow ban of the Coyote instead of trying to bring out what amounts to a bolt action AR. They'd sell more Coyotes than Bisons easily if they successfully challenged the shadow ban.

Instead of buying a BCL Bison, people should donate that money to ATRS's lawsuit.

i would agree with much of your comment, but not every business will make the same decisions. Think of how many companies come out anti or pro NRA in the USA. Most dont comment or show donations.

If it was me, i would advertise a certificate coming with each rifle that a specific amount was being donated for the sale of each rifle

stupid post^^^ you should buy a Bison and Donate to the ATRS lawsuit....:)

Bolt action? Whats the appeal?

Legalities aside I think it’s the latest fad of a light compact rifle that can used for precision and hunting. See the Fix and Mini-fix by Q. These make more sense as suppressor ready platforms

I think it’s pretty cool. Canadian made takes 10 round ar pistol mags and it’s price just a few bucks more than the two Canadian offerings for just a receiver set to make a straight pull rifle. I was going to build a 7.62x39 renegade to use some of my 30 000 rounds of surplus x39. But seeing this that just changed. Good work bcl let the haters hate but this I will be picking up. Hopefully they could do one in x39 with a 15.5 inch barrel

7.2 lbs seems a bit heavy for a 12" barrel rifle with a mini action (i.e. shorter than a short action). If we were able to ditch the chassis and put on a polymer stock, we could shave some weight off. Similarly if we could re barrel it with a carbon-fibre ourselves

So that raises the question - Is the barrel threaded on? What pitch of thread? Ideally it's a common threading that we could get prefit barrels for. And does the action footprint match anything already on the market? E.g. like a Howa mini-action or something similar?

The Canadian gun community never ceases to amaze me. All the garbage BCL has produced and some people are still frothing at the mouth, just aching to get bent over again for another garbage BCL gun.

No, it isn't a good thing that manufactures are "stepping up" to make new guns for Canadians, when they make absolute garbage and peddle it as high quality gear with a high quality price tag.

Stop supporting sh!tty business practices and hold companies accountable for their actions or rather the lack there of.
