Ruger expects to re-introduce Marlin rifles in 2021

I was looking forward to the reintroduced Marlin lever .410 making it to Canada. I’m not going to hold my breath for that now though. But I’m glad Ruger is moving ahead with resuming production.

I'm not expecting oddball designs. If Biden is.president, Ruger will be putting out simple basic, gun like objects as fast as they can make them.

Just hoping it's more M77 than American. Could the brand survive another run of poor fit finish and gluing. There ought to be lots of market well south of Uberti and Miroku quality and money.

I would prefer a better sight than the old elevator ramp.

Also, make mine a stainless .35 Rem with a 24" barrel...:)

I'm with Bowie. I hope Ruger corrects barrel indexing on the Marlin rifles. I don't know how so many of these rifles manage to pass QC, with sights canted off to one side. I guess they assumed most folks would mount a scope on the rifle, instead of coping with the crooked iron sights. One of my biggest peeves, with Marlins.

Also would be nice to see Ruger expand the 336 caliber line with some exclusives.

Why is it that ever time something like this is discussed, guys will always suggest oddball, obsolete cartridges that would never sell.
How bouts just make something I don't need to send for warranty work. Let's try that first.

That's talking sense!

We don't need a lever gun in 7.62x25 or 10mm. We need one that can favourably be compared to one made 50 years ago or 100 years ago.

Really hoping they bring back the Marlin Camp Carbine in .45 and 9mm, preferably with an NR barrel this time.

Excited to see what they come out with, if its the same lineup or if they'll put a Ruger twist on things. Personally I'd love to see them incorporate the Ruger Scout peep sight, or even just start selling them Skinner sights on them. I've always found that lever rifles really shine with a good aperture sight on them.

Because this is CanadianGunNutz, not CanadianGunNormies. Everyone who is inclined to spend 20 years posting on an internet forum about guns wants something quirky and offbeat, not just "I SuRE hOpE ThEy mAKe a tHIrTy-ThirTy cArBInE!"
