I picked up a couple of boxes of this last night at Crappy Tire because it was the only 9mm they had.

What's the deal here? I know it can't be reloaded. I also know it's not for use in carbines, because it says so right on the box. I'll be using this in my CZ75 and Girsan Regard. Anyone have anything that I should know about this stuff?

I have used it in everything including WWII luger, P38 and even a suomi which I guess is a carbine type rifle with no issues

I put 1,000 rounds through a Beretta 92FS without issue. It was the cheapest I could find at the time I purchased. Was just looking to get used to the Beretta.

Nothing wrong with it, great cheaper option if you have no intention of reloading. Probably won't even notice a difference.

Aluminum has a much lower heat capacity than brass, so if you were to shoot a TON of it real quick your gun would heat up faster than with brass case ammo. But given that we don't have the option for autos and standard capacity mags up here, you'll probably be fine, lol.

Federal and Blazer 115 grain aluminum is pretty my all I shoot. I have used over 5000 round and I will continue to use it. I have used it in my Glock 19x, Glock 48, Shadow System MR918L, Zev OZ9 and have had zero issues. Steel case ammo is a different story. Enjoy and plink away

Does it wear your gun out faster? I remember reading about steel case wearing guns out faster then brass but there was nothing about aluminum.

no it shouldn't, aluminum case is very smooth and I like shooting aluminum cased ammo off in winter so I don't have look for my brass in the snow. Winchester forge now that stuff has a ruff case compared to barnaul and would stay away from

I experimented with reloading the aluminum in my cz shadows. Definitely stick with starting loads, otherwise the primers fall out... not that you should reload it a second time, or at all... especially with a glock.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to go back and buy the rest of their stock since it's cheap and it's the only 9mm they have in stock.

runs fine in any of my 9mm's from the 1930's Luger to a modern 1911. Like many have said, shoots great and no guilt about missing a couple on cleanup.

I shot a case of it in handguns fine, but did not really find much of a cost saving. 3 or 4 yrs ago maybe.
Don't have a rifle to try it in, don't see why it would be a problem.

I have never used it, but the few guys at our club that have have no problems with it. Steel cased ammo can be another story. Tula ammo seems OK, but Winchester Forged and Maxxtec are crap.

I also recently purchased a little bit of aluminum cased to try (now if only they would open the OUTDOOR RANGE, C0v!d has everything closed here). Really like your suggestion of using it in winter, thanks for the tip.

One thing to watch for is the case is lighter so it can change how the cases eject. I have a Girsan 28 and it fires Aluminium fine but it ejects straight back and up instead of the side and up with brass meaning you get hit in the chest with the spent cases and that can be annoying.

People complaining of the winchester forged... I have no problems with them. Pretty accurate too. The phosphate finish only gets released as a powder but doesn't scratch or wear your gun out
