I've been looking for an sks-d for some time now, they used to pop up periodically! Any reason they just seemed to have disappeared?
Any dealers around that have any?

All the people who wanted to get one eventually decided to pull the trigger when they saw guys asking $500 for bubba grade chinese SKS and more for Russian refurbs. Now they're locked away not for sale until they see them selling for as much profit as possible or until they see prices begin to fall.

In a Brinks vault. Have seen what people are asking for those?.

I was assuming I would still see them, but at inflated prices, which is understandable with what's going on with all the nr stuff...but near impossible to find one even at the higher pricing. Personally I've never wanted one , but someone close to me with a pal that is computer illiterate tasked me with finding them one , sigh....

The market is drying up, people are hanging on to what they have; it is only going to get worse.

This is what Iam hearing as well, none of my friends or guys at the range are selling anything, just hoarding and buying whst the can

I think everyone is hanging on to all the good stuff. I have been keeping an eye out for Remington pump guns 572 and 7615, haven’t seen any for months.
As for sks, the asking price for normal used ones is 500-600 on here. So anyone with the d models are probably keeping them locked up tight until they can get a big payday.
I almost think with the gun ban and covid a lot of people have put the gun hobby on hold and maybe just kept the safe locked up.

They never made many sks d models
They were made by norinco to get around the ak47 ban
Then, Clinton banned all Norinco products, so there was no need to make them
What was left , slipped under the mat into America before the cut off
Then some went to Australia New Zealand Canada and Europe
The concept was an old idea and most of the parts were used up on original guns with bayonets
Then sporter models without bayonet for Clinton

If you don’t mind waiting for two months or so you can import One from US. Even with all import fees it’s going to be cheaper then getting a decent one from EE.

They're one of the few good remaining semis left in kanuduh. Nobody with any sense would be selling one unless they either really didn't like it or really need the money. Somebodytookmyname excluded from that opinion, of course ;);):d
