Yugoslavian 24/47 in 8 mauser. Bought it recently, fired three rounds and extractor gave up. Pic included for clarity. Any idea where I can get a replacement?

The extractors should be the same OAL between full length & intermediate length bolts , however, quite often the width needs to be adjusted to allow for proper/smoother bolt cycling. Sure, a replacement essentially snaps into place, but it still often requires a little hand fitting.

Just an FYI.

Be careful there is 3 main type of Mauser actions and odds are the M98 extractor they would have would be for the long action. I would double check with them that it is fine for a intermediate action (which a M24/47 is).

Update: Got the Mauser 98 extractor from TEC and it fits *Perfectly*

Thank you guys! I'm going to go drop a bear with it in a few months, with some luck and a lot of practice.

Please do not take offence, as it is not intended.
You didn't slip a cartridge into the chamber and close the bolt on it by chance did you? Tough on extractors on a CRF rifle doing that. A Lee Enfield...no problem...but a 98 Mauser...bad.
Just a question...

Tokguy is absolutely correct; The 98 Mauser action is designed to feed very well, but ONLY when rounds are cycled THROUGH THE MAGAZINE.

Anything else will put a great strain on the Extractor. This is, in fact, the cause of the MAJORITY of broken Mauser Extractors.

On the Springfield 1903 ,which is a Mauser action copy, the extractor must be profiled different since it has a magazine cut off and loads single cartridges very nicely.
I wonder why the Germans did not do the same thing on their K98k.

Why would they? They would always feed from the magazine and as such this was never a problem for them. This is only a civilian post-military usage issue caused by not properly using the firearm. It's like the M95 rifles where people try to single load them because they don't have the Mannlicher clips and as such break those valuable extractors, the designers never anticipated or expected people to single load them, it just isn't how your supposed to use them.

I didn't actually, but I was tempted to while testing out the new one. Thank you for letting me know that's no bueno!

Should the magazine spring on a K98k break or the magazine become defective in some other way,the rifle is useless.
If the poor soldier with an M95 lose his enbloc clips the rifle is useless, both deficiencies in design in my opinion.

Your user name...hmm. How good is a Garand without it's en-bloc clips? Not much good I'd warrant. And push come to shove you can load an 98 from the top...ain't easy like a Lee Enfield or a Krag...but you can do it IIRC

I prefer to celebrate our pros rather than quibble over various cons :)

A lot of 'Old Fart's' on here. We debate...that's what we do when we ain't helping.
It's just done politely for the most part... no need to be angry or malicious about it.
Everyone agreeing is pointless and boring. What; then someone disagree's and we dogpile him? That's kinda offputting.
Polite debate is healthy; crushing it seems very singular and self serving.
Perfect example would be a certain poll concerning CC... 'Dutch Riders' as far as that topic goes. Boring....

On BRNO crfs some guys push in on the extractor when they want to close the bolt with one already in the chamber. I don't do it but I've seen it done, usually so they have a full mag plus 1.

My younger son threw one in the pipe and closed the bolt on a Milsurp 98. The elder son and I both 'Sucked through our teeth' and winced. It extracted fine...but he did get a brief "Don't do that, Willy" comment.
