Price check made in USSR Baikal 10 gauge shotgun

I found this looking in my grandfather’s stuff.

Just wondering how much it is worth.

It is a 12 bore. Heavy barrel walls may be deceiving. I don't think the big ten was too popular in Eastern Europe. Still a good solid gun that is worth about 150 bucks. You know that gun may even be a 20 bore.

That barrel looks no where near the 10 gauge I have. 12 or 20 is my guess.

My 12 bore Baikal single is the hardest kicking gun I have ever shot. A 10 would be whole new world.

If it is I sold one of those 20 ga in 2015 for $100 on this website. Maybe worth $120-$150 by now. From what I remember it was super lightly built, can't imagine what it would kick like if it were actually a 10 gauge!!!

The hnr 10ga single models werent bad but they had a very thick heavy barrel

A good friend of mine that died in an Alaskan plane crash used to have one of these in 20 gauge. Sturdy looking for a sub gauge shotgun indeed.

Even $150 sounds cheap to me, assuming the gun isn't cylinder bore. The simple fact its not make in Turkey makes it a $200 gun IMO (I have nothing against turkish guns, got a few myself, but others seem to dislike them and thus are willing to pay a premium for a Cooey, Baikal, etc)

I haven’t replied because I was not able to go back to the country house where the gun is stored to get more information based on the good comments this thread has received.

I will add the info when I am able to get it.
